Hey-being from the South has to count for something, right?!

2/20/07 And it begins-wife called me at work saying I had two letters in the mail....In at Miami but dinged at Washington. A little surprised by no love from Washington, but then again, they do take mostly in-state and I did apply at the last possible second....Hope that isn't a sign of things to come though....

-Update on 2/20/07-Got a phone call at 5pm from Cardozo....when I saw the weird area code, I figured I knew what the call was about, but it still really picked up my spirits. The Dean seemed like a great guy on the phone. I have choices now!

-3/8/07 Big packet in the mail from Cardozo, including Dean's Merit Scholarship. $25k a year, renewable if I maintain a 3.3 GPA

-3/14/07 A Rep from George Mason called at work-I have more options now! She mentioned the possibility of $$$ to come in the next couple weeks

-3/22/07 Got back from a trip to NYC to visit Cardozo to find an acceptance email from Temple. The mail today contained the George Mason acceptance and scholarship

-3/24/07 The dream dies...Michigan rejection via email. This hurts less than I thought it would. I guess I had prepared myself for this as well as I could...

-3/26/07 Wow...Received packet from Temple in the mail. I'm a Beasley Scholar...Full ride!!

-3/27/07 In at Boston University via phone call! Package in the mail to come!

I am graduating for the University of Alabama in Huntsville in just a couple of weeks...since your profile says you went to a small private school in Birmingham, I'm guessing either Samford or Birmingham Southern for you...eh? I keep flip-flopping between schools from day to day...I just can't make up my mind yet
