NYU by a large envelope - the letter is dated 12/19 and the postmark is 12/23, but I did not receive it until after the holiday since I was away from home.
Northwestern - they sent an email pointing me to the status checker, which didn't work until over an hour after the email was sent.
GW by email
UVa - sent an email that a decision had been sent on 1/17; I received the letter on 1/23.
GULC - went to decision on status checker on 1/20; I received the letter on 1/30.
UT - thin letter in the mail
Columbia - thin letter in the mail
Chicago - phone call from Ann Perry!
Harvard - thin letter in the mail
Stanford - thin letter in the mail

I applied RD (regular decision) to Columbia and was put on "hold" on 2/13/06. I didn't send any additional info to supplement my application. On 4/18/06, I received a letter that I was placed into the "reserve" category, which is what they call the waitlist. The letter indicated that they strongly preffered people to supplement their apps with additional info such as new grades or additional letters of recommendation. Thus I am withdrawing.

I received a "hold" letter from Harvard on 3/3/06, and then I got the rejection letter on 4/29/06.
