LSP results:

NYU (Deny) 15%. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Rejected
Northwestern (Consider ) 43%. . . . . . . . Rejected
UIUC (Strong Consider) 63%. . . . . . . . . Accepted
Notre Dame (Strong Consider) 66%. . . Waitlisted
Fordham (Strong Consider) 67%. . . . . . Accepted
W&L (Strong Consider) 67%. . . . . . . . . Accepted
IU-B (Strong Consider) 75%. . . . . . . . . . Accepted
OSU (Admit) 79%. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Accepted

**Future Number Twins**
LSP is pretty reliable but determines admissions likelihood based on the index (a number that combines LSAT and GPA). Since a 166 is pretty low for some "splitter friendly" schools, the chances appear better for us because a 166/3.7 might be the same as a 173/3.0. I think the chances are a little worse for Northwestern (I'd say Weak Consider) and UIUC (I'd say Consider...but remember that their medians are 167/3.8).

Additional info & updates

**scholarship amounts are total for all 3 years**

9/29 - Under Review at OSU

10/7 - Last LOR in (of 3)

11/2 - In Review at Washington & Lee; should receive decision in 3-4 weeks

11/9 - Received status checker from NYU and apparently my application has been Under Review since 10/29. Bracing myself for rejection.

11/11 - In at Washington & Lee (via e-mail / status checker)! Yay! :)

11/18 - In Review at Illinois; nervous my tone is all wrong in my PS. I guess we'll see in a couple weeks!

11/19 - Under Review at Fordham; quickly approaching the EA decision deadline

11/23 - In at OSU (via e-mail / status checker)! Woot.

12/3 - In at Illinois (via e-mail) with scholarship offer. Squee!
- Also in at Fordham (via e-mail)! Happy Friday. :)

12/24 - In at IU-Bloomington (via priority mail) with scholarship offer. Whee!
Note on IU: legacy (not sure if that matters)

1/14 - Rejected by Northwestern (via e-mail / PDF on status checker). Boo.

1/18 - Received my scholarship offer in the mail from W&L. Renewable with 3.15 GPA (which I think is median?).

1/25 - Rejected by NYU (via e-mail). Too bad.

1/28 - Waitlisted by Notre Dame. Loved the school, but withdrew for personal reasons.

1/31 - Withdrew from Washington & Lee because of location.

2/3 - Received a $12k/year scholarship offer from OSU.

3/29 - Withdrew from Fordham because of cost. (Broke my heart a little because I really did love it).

3/31 - Withdrew from IU and Illinois and committed to OSU because of my personal situation. So tough, but glad to be through with the uncertainty.

Thanks for the kind words! I went to OSU as an undergrad, but sadly I will have to attend a school within driving distance. I'm OK with that - last year at this time I thought it would be impossible to get into any school. I bet you'll have no trouble getting into OSU. Do you know what aspect of the law you want to study?

Your cycle should be more (positively) predictable than mine! I think I have a rollercoaster ride ahead with the few schools that I can realistically attend. I'm open to practically any discipline of law. Intellectual Property would have been my first choice if my degree wasn't in English.

Thank you!! My real numbers are very similar to yours and we have a really similar list. hopefully we can both celebrate good fortune by the end of this thing. yeah still eding at northwestern, it's my number one, just want to get the optional down pat first. good luck!

Way to get an acceptance already. That feels good, I'm sure. W&L seems fast. Good luck with everything.

Congrats on OSU!

Yep, OSU is definitely my #1! I'm an undergrad here so I'm already familiar with the great city of Columbus. Another three years up here would be excellent! How about you? Whats your top choice?

congrats so far

Congrats on Illinois! I submitted far, far later than you, I suppose we'll be a good test case for submission date concerns (and perhaps PS quality!). Again, congratulations:-)
