When did you go under review at NYU?

Sunday, October 22 2017 at 07:59 PM

I went under review for NYU pretty quickly after going complete... I don't remember the exact date, but at the earliest, it was 10/20, and at the latest 10/23.

If you don't mind saying, what will your PhD be in (and at which schools did you apply to the PhD program)?

Sunday, October 22 2017 at 07:59 PM

Sorry for the delayed response--the PhD would likely be in Religious Studies (if not a PhD, then definitely a Masters if possible). I applied to a Masters at WashU, Harvard, Columbia, & Chicago, and to the PhDs at Columbia, Harvard, Yale, Penn, Emory, & Northwestern. I anticipate quite a few rejections on the PhD front, since most places won't accept a K-PhD candidate for Religious Studies.

Oh, I also applied to the Vanderbilt Masters & PhD! Sorry about that lol :)

Congrats on an awesome cycle so far!! Any tips on LSAT prep??

Sunday, October 22 2017 at 07:59 PM

Thank you! I studied for appx. 3 months, and I would definitely recommend anticipating the answer prior to moving to the answer choices for LR & RC. If you read slowly and do that, it saves a lot of time, even if it doesn't feel that way at first! As an aside, though, my highest PT was 168, so don't sweat it if you're not PTing as high as you'd like--sometimes, it works out on the day of!
