Additional info & updates

I got locked out of my other account, so I had to create a new one.

My reason for applying to law school is to do public interest work in the south. As a result, cost is the biggest factor in deciding where I go. NCCU is my top choice because it is an incredible value, but we'll see what happens.

I applied to both the full and part time programs at both UALR and NCCU.

_____________________________________________________

2/4 - I've been under review at UALR since around 1/18. Status checker says it takes 4-6 weeks to render a decision.

2/11 - Accepted to UALR via status checker. Unsure if it's full time, part time, or both.

2/12 - Withdrew from Jones before I went complete.

2/16 - Via email: Admitted to full time program at UALR with non-resident tuition scholarship. This is looking to be the most cost effective choice at this point.

2/22 - Received 3 pieces of mail today from UALR. Looks like I received a small merit scholarship in addition to the non-resident tuition scholarship. I'm 99.9% I'll be going to UALR.

3/22 - It has been a month since I last updated this. Over the weekend, I decided for sure that I will be attending UALR this fall. I've withdrawn my other applications. I also never heard back from NCCU despite applying over two months ago. For future applicants: I suggest getting your app complete at NCCU at the earliest possible date, because they are by far the slowest school to get back to you.

6/23 - With my withdrawal letter en route to NCCU, I received a large packet from them stating that I've been accepted to the part-time program and was waitlisted from the full time program. Since I'm out of state, this is far too little notice to get my affairs in order; I've never heard of a law school still going through the admissions process in June.
