**Update**

3/12 - Accepted to New York Law School with a full tuition scholarship via email! Received letter in the mail about stipulations/deadlines in addition to a $1,000 stipend for first year books

3/26 - Accepted to Cardozo Law School via email with $15,000 per year scholarship! No GPA stipulations

4/15 - Put down deposit on both NYLS and Cardozo. As stupid as it sounds, I'm not ready to lose a full scholarship, although I'm about 95% sure I'll be attending Cardozo in the fall

4/23 - Accepted to Brooklyn with a $30,000 a year scholarship! Stipulation is to be in top 80% of class

4/29 - Rejected by Fordham. Kinda expected this but it still sucks

5/6 - Emailed admissions at Cardozo asking for an increase in scholarship $ and used my offers from NYLS and BLS as leverage. They gave me an additional $5,000 a year

5/31 - Placed second deposit on Cardozo. After attending several events, meeting fellow students and faculty, I'm sold that this is the school for me

@NYpurple Thank you!! Still a tough decision between a full scholarship at NYLS and less money at Cardozo but I think Cardozo will be worth it

Hey PaulS95, concerning negotiating, I negotiated with Cardozo twice and they increased my scholarship twice. If you have a higher offer from a higher ranked or peer school, that will be your best bet. However, if you don't it doesn't hurt to explain your financial situation and just ask for more aid. All they can tell you is no. Be bold in your pursuit, and don't stop until they tell you it's their final offer.
