Additional info & updates

Priority Reserved (i.e., Waitlisted)@ Duke 2/26: Ouch!

JS1 invite @ Harvard: 3/2
Interview: 3/12 (I liked the interview; regardless of whether I get in or not, the interviewer was interesting. For future applicants, don't stress too much about the interview and make sure that you are flexible enough so that the interview is as much like a normal conversation you might have as possible)

Rejected 3/26. Hurts. Hurts real bad.

Interview invite @ Texas: 3/3 (thats some super quick turnaround time)
Completed interview: 3/10
Acceptance: 3/16
Aid: merit-based scholly and NRT, totaling $139,476 over three years. (Honestly, Texas has been so awesome thus far)

Northwestern acceptance 3/22 via decision letter checker. Thought for sure that it was a rejection letter given it's indirectness and the fact that I did not interview (completely my fault on that; wrote a letter to the committee commenting on it). Very happy and excited about the news! Looking forward to comparing NU vs. UT at this point as both are great places. We'll see what other news floats my way in the next few weeks.

Waitlisted @ Berkeley 3/22: hurts the heart.

Waitlisted @ UVA 4/2...At this point, it's hard to know what to say:/

Waitlisted @ Michigan 4/5...waitlist king over here

This was an eye-opening cycle: 2 acceptances with schollys, 10 WL, and 2 dings.

Hey, I appreciate that, man. Kinda crazy that Ive still got six apps to submit. Thats largely because of delayed rec letters but still. Anyways, still hoping I get something. Schools seem really keen on high GPAs this cycle. Crossin fingers and saying prayers.

This cycle

does seem a little more competitive in general compared to the last few cycles. Good luck tho! (to both of us)
