Additional info & updates

I have or at least had an incredibly strong application that lacked adequate LSAT scores to get into an Ivy league school. I'm a first generation in college graduate. My strongest points on my applications was my recommendations, personal statements, my course load, LSAT writing samples, and my overall character as reflected in my admission essays.

And yet, I'm going to Georgetown!!! And I feel good! (or if rearticulated in other words) YES!!!

but I think these trolls are needed. They only make me stronger and more resolute that I can and will compete within my law class for a spot in the top 10% next year. Thanks again, Tracey. I really do appreciate those warm feelings and well wishes.

ps. i noticed you got almost all your apps in with a fee waiver. How do you go about doing that?

Yet you still miss...

You\'re still missing the bigger picture, George. You presume that that person, creat, hasn\'t worked hard and studied. You seem to operate under the delusion that if you work hard enough for long enough then you will and must succeed. But that is simply not the case. I know of ppl who didn\'t work at all and got great grades and great LSAT scores, and thus got into wonderful law schools. I also know of ppl who their behinds off and still didn\'t do reasonably well on the LSAT, majority and minority. To simply say that someone isn\'t qualified for law school b/c they lack some ideal test score is simply laughable and ridiculous b/c that doesn\'t reflect the complexity of humanity and life in general. Last time, I checked there was no positive correlation between those who got 170+ LSAT scores and them finishing at the top of the law school class. Individuality and personality are what really matters in law school, not some score. I personally think that person like creat, albeit she won\'t be editor-n-chief of a law review, can still succeed and thrive in law school. As for grades, we all make mistakes and don\'t do as best as we should. I know I could have easily had a higher GPA if it wasn\'t for my laziness and procrastination, and I have 3.85 with me taking mainly all upper level courses since my sophomore yr and two graduate exit courses. And you have 3.74, George. What happened...? Could you not get a 4.0? But you make it sound so easy. Therein lies your fallacy, you take what ought to be as what actually is/exists. Hard work, dedication, earning your keeps are all great, but you miss out on key luck, personality, the other punches that come with life are. I\'m sorry to say this again, George. But you missed the point again. Numbers don\'t and can\'t reliably predict success. The world doesn\'t always operate like a clock... logical, rational, and predictive. But maybe that\'s just me.

WOW!!

You are truly delusional. You find the admissions process to be more important than law school itself given your emphasis on admissions then actual work habits. Second, my undergrad school doesn\'t matter anymore just like my LSAT doesn\'t matter anymore. Third, to say UCLA is the second best public law school in the country is laughable at best. You seem to forget about UVA, Michigan, and UT Austin which are all traditionally viewed as being better than UCLA. Fourth, I never said you were making an argument about some correlation between LSAT scores and success in law school. You need to learn to read carefully George, esp. if you want to be a lawyer. Moreover, If I\'m this idealist b/c I\'m not some troll who goes on LSN to find ppl to demoralize and put down. Fifth, and yes I could have done more when I was in college. But then again, even if I had a 4.0 I still could have done more. There is a difference between trying one\'s best and doing one\'s best. I tried my best in college but that wasn\'t my best by any stretch of the imagination. Sixth, I laugh at your character judgment on me as being \"bitter.\" I\'m not bitter about a thing. I wish everyone well and success even you, George. I don\'t need to get jealous at what other ppl have or have done. Those who have done better than me only reinforces my belief that I better get on and stay on my grind in law school. Those who have not done as well as me remind me just how blessed I am. Thank you, George. People like you put all that hot air that allows me to gain power off the fumes. I wish you the best of luck, but seriously if all you can do is troll on LSN w/o your own account under some pseudonym, then you really need to get a life. Good luck and God bless you. PS. And please don\'t post any more comments on my profile.
