Congrats! How did UB let you know of your Waitlist spot?! I know I have a low LSAT, but I hope that all of my other strong points will at least get me waitlisted. I applied two weeks ago and haven't heard anything.

They were pretty quick. I haven't heard a thing from anyone else yet. It was an email notification. UB seems to be a bit different of a beast (which is one of the reasons I like them)- they have students with both really high LSATs and really low LSATs. I don't know if they still do the priority waitlist thing, but from what I can tell waitlisted applicant have a good shot at being admitted. I admit, its taking a lot of my discipline not to pester the admissions office. Hears hoping you hear some good news soon. Good luck :).

UB was quick. MD pt isn't very likely with our numbers. I found someone with similar numbers who got waitlisted, but no one who got in. I don't really think I'll get in, just a long shot. Even if I could get into MD I'd still look hard at UB- I like the public interest/clinical spin at UB. MD is closer to big law and that's not what I want to do. I went to UB's preview day, and while its really where I wanted to go initially, I was still impressed- the students/faculty gave a good pitch. Good luck to you too. Two more weeks till the first seat deposit is due and people start getting pulled off waitlists :).

Just read your comments. I applied late for 2 or 3 schools but for the most part I just haven't updated my info. Probably headed to Appalachian or UBalt. The reason for applying to so many out-of-state schools is because I HATE NC with a passion. My fiance is headed to Johns Hopkins for med school so I was trying to get up to the DC metro if at all possible. She's obviously a lot smarter than I am ;^)

I probably should have applied to MD but I just thought it would have been a stretch. Maybe there's a transfer in my future. Best of luck w/ UBalt.

Thanks I really really hope UB works out. I really like UB as a school. All things being equal, meaning no rankings, I'd pick UB over UMD hands down because UB has a direct community approach. Even if I can transfer, I doubt I will. Assuming, ofc, I ever get off the frickin waitlist. Grr.:) Already passed up a seat deposit hoping/waiting for UB.

UB acceptance!!!!

Thanks. Yeah, the wait was killing me. What's weird is that the same day, Dayton called me up to offer more money. If the timing had been any later- aww man that would have sucked. UB is my best option. I think I'll be happy there. :). I'll prolly see you there.

Yes, from TN but residing/working in MD for several years. Long story, but sometimes your second choice is a better fit than your first choice. I see you also got in off the waitlist - Congrats.

Congrats on UBalt
