Nah the letter was really broad...sounds like we got the same one. Said they fill people through August (yikes). It also had a sheet for 'instructions' for the waiting list. I will be doing as much as I can to get more references in, etc. because I really want to go! Charleston is toooo expensive. P.S. VP of Political Organization off campus? You must be the up and coming DNC chairman?
Hey, thanks for the message. I was notified by snail mail. Interesting thing was that I was admitted twice. I was originally let in about March, but because I thought I was going to Campbell, I didn't send a deposit and let the deadline pass. I then wrote the school later, feeling like I hadn't given them enough thought, and asked to be let back in. They waitlisted me, and I got in for the second time about a week and a half ago. I gave it some thought against Campbell and chose USC. Let me know if you get in and go, it'd be great to meet some new people (even if you are a Democrat haha). Good luck!
Congrats on USC. Are you going?
Hey, congrats on the late admit. See ya in two weeks!!!!
Hey, I left you an email about housing. Let me know when you get it!
Hey, not sure why the email didn't go through, it shows up in my sent folder. Anyway, I found a great place. It's near Columbia International University, and usually it's for students there, but the owners of the place recently opened it up for USC students. It's dorm style, but it's fully furnished and is $325/month for everything, including utilities and internet. Deposit is also $325 a month. There's a common area, huge kitchen with two refrigerators, and laundry as well. You have no roommate, but you do share a bathroom with one other person. No sleepovers are allowed and girls and guys stay separate. It is the perfect environment for studying because it's sorta set back in the woods a little, not too close to the road. And I think everyone there is going to be students. I would highly recommend this place. I checked around for housing, went down to Columbia one day. I've looked on craigslist, apartments.com. This is the best deal for the money. It'd be good to have a fellow law student there. Let me know if you're interested and I can give you some details.
Thank you!! What section you in?
I see you also got waitlisted at Carolina...is that one of your top choices? I think that is surprising with your stats and foreign language skills. Let me know if you are going to "retain" your membership on the waiting list.
