Additional info & updates

Low GPA due to personal hardships first year of college. LSAT not quite where I wanted it to be, but still enough for my purposes.

I'm nearing the end of my cycle as I create this account. I'm only here to add my experience and hopefully help those who have questions.

Numbers are smudged just a bit for adcom purposes. Will be properly updated after cycle.

Good luck!

3/5/12

Got decision via email from Regent. I was admitted, but had to register for an "academic success program" which starts two weeks before orientation. It is packaged to seem like an early orientation, but apparently it's graded as pass/fail. Not really looking to attend, but just wanted to see what they'd offer.

3/8/12

Email decision from John Marshall Chicago - accepted. Not sure why I'm actually kind of excited about a Chicago school accepting me. It's really expensive and competition in Chi-town is steep. Any one have insight on the job prospects for JMLS?

3/14/12

Applied to Syracuse today. Really nice school, albeit pricey. Will wait and see.

4/3/12

Paid the seat deposit at Nova. Right now, it's 90% certain I'm going to Nova. Only exception is if FIU admits me. Fingers crossed.

4/27/12

Rejected at Syracuse. It was a reach school for sure.

7/3/12

Waitlisted at Chicago-Kent. Had to fill out a small form requesting to stay on the waitlist. This was a nice surprise, considering we're a little over a month away from orientation at NSU. Feeling a strange mix of incredible excitement as well as overwhelming nausea. Going to keep relaxing and enjoying my last free summer, as you all should.

Hey man we're looking into some of the same schools. How long did it take for Nova and St. Thomas to reply with a decision?

Looks like we're in the same boat, deposits at Nova but holding out for FIU. How long were you in review at FIU before you got the wait list? Did they say they'd clear some people off by a certain date? Good luck!

I'm leaning toward Nova because I really like the location and campus.

Yeah, I went to the last open house they had in February. It was pretty informative. I also sat in on a Con Law class and I liked it. What about you? Have you joined the Facebook group?
