Additional info & updates

3-2: Yay GW and GMU!

3-4: In at Washington & Lee, which I'm really happy about as their 'different approach' to law school (i.e. more student-friendly, etc.) was appealing to me. Another DC school to visit as well.

Maybe Hastings will have pity on me.

3-18: First news in awhile - in at Ohio State via phone call. Unfortunately I'm at work, so my cell was on silent, but nice to finally get some news of any kind, let alone an acceptance :D.

3/24: Withdrew from OSU. I like the school, but I won't be able to visit and I don't think it's really in the cards with those DC area schools in play. Also anticipating letters from at least UCLA (WL/reject), American (WL) and W&M (WL) today, so for once I don't want work to end.

3/25: WL from American. Expected, not a big deal. Withdrawn.

3/26: WL from W&M. Expected, given all the WLs they were sending out, but disappointing. Will probably stay on this one.

4/2: Withdrew from W&L. Great school, really liked the people in the admissions office and everyone was really helpful. That being said, I don't think Lexingon and I were meant to be :)

4/6: WL from WUSTL, using hold-like language. Withdrawn.

4/9: Withdrew from George Mason after visiting GW and GMU earlier this week.

4/13: WL from UCLA, letter dated 4/9. Not surprising, my GPA sucks. Definitely staying on this one

4/16: Withdrew from the W&M waitlist

4/23: WL letter from Arizona, withdrawn. Was thinking about UofA if I got some money as it's closer to home, but no point in riding out a waitlist there now.

5/5: WL from BC. Applied really late and am kicking myself for being such an idiot. Staying on this one, since I like BC. Sorry Mom.

5/25: Accepted for Spring start by Baylor. Hadn't actually read it properly the first time, so I thought I was waitlisted. Academic now, but still nice to finally wrap up my cycle.

Yeah, I figured as much. UCLA is very GPA happy so I wasn't surprised at all, good luck on the rest of your cycle!

I think it must have been either my personal statement or undergrad institution that was the selling point for them -- no great softs, 1 year WE. I basically got lucky. Best of luck to you too.

If Strasburg ends up with the Nats they could have some interesting games. The Giants have looked pretty well so far this year, hopefully it continues :)
