Additional info & updates

Real info to be provided post admissions decisions. Until then, all dates are skewed by several days for anonymity and are approximations.

The high volume of applications is due to expected volatility of my cycle and the desire for competitive scholarship offers.

3/31/2020 Update

I was a reapplicant. To maximize my odds, I did rolling ED applications, UVA -> Michigan -> Duke R2 -> GULC, for a total of four ED applications. No two were active at the same time.

Thrilled with the result. HOYA SAXA!

Why do you expect this cycle to be volatile?

Thursday, October 24 2019 at 02:36 PM

I do not expect this cycle to be more volatile than any other, rather, I am referring to the outcomes possible with my actual numbers. Splitters this cycle are going to be in for a wild ride since in just two weeks we will have a much better picture of this cycle. One theory is that there was a continued forward shift in applications, rather than an increase in applicants. December 170+'s will be huge in demonstrating whether or not that is the case.

Hoya Saxa! I'll see you there in the fall. Let me know if you want to connect.

Hi there, I saw that you ED 4 schools. I think this is most likely the case but just wanted to confirm. Did you get a rejection from one school before applying to another one ED, or did you apply to them at the same time and then got a rejection and ask to move to ED (is this even possible?)? Thanks so much!
