4/24/10- Cycle Roundup

I am very pleased with how this cycle has played out. UB was my first choice and I am ecstatic to be heading there in the fall. Don't let people tell you that if you wait until the February test that you should defer to the next application cycle. Everyone was telling me to wait but i'm glad I didn't. Also, be sure to put a lot of effort into your personal statement. My statement went through unending revisions, but I think it played an important part in my acceptances. Good luck to all future applicants!

4/9/10
Somehow waitlisted at Albany, but it's okay because I'm going to UB in the fall!!!

4/2/10

Accepted at Buffalo via snail mail... this is not going to be an easy decision.

3/25/10

In at Case Western with 10,000 per year!!! and Accepted at Quinnipiac via email---scholarship information in the mail.

3/23/10

E-Mail from Loyola with admitted student code. Assuming there is an acceptance letter on the way.

3/22/10

Large envelope from St. Thomas- accepted with $15,000 per year.

3/20/10

In at Syracuse via snail mail. Came with a sweet t-shirt- nice touch. 27K Scholarship. Very excited about this one!

3/19/10

Hofstra status checker- Congratulations Accepted!

3/18/10
Accepted at Toledo via snail mail. No scholarship information included.

3/15/10

Accepted at Akron via status checker. $29,000 scholarship renewable. Accepted at Cleveland State via snail mail. $8,000 renewable scholarship.

3/11/10
Waitlisted at PSU. E-Mail explained that my application would be reviewed again later in the month. Optimistic tone, so I'm hoping for the best. Unbelievably fast turnaround though! Only applied a week and a half ago.

3/5/10
In at Arkansas via usps. $10,000 renewable scholarship. Pretty sure they reached this decision with my old LSAT score, as my new score was mailed out to them on the day they mailed out this decision. Either way, happy to be accepted at a good school like Arkansas.

3/4/10
In at Charlotte via email. $10,000 renewable scholarship

2/27/10
Lsat result comes in- 161. Relieved to be able to sit back and watch the cycle unfold. Will probably take June test regardless of how things end up going; I know I'm capable of high 160's. Got a call from the Arkansas Dean of Student Affairs regarding my interests in UA. Very warm and personable and increased my interest in Arkansas.

2/9/10

Not sure what to make of my LSAT performance this past weekend. Def. had a composure going in that I didn't have in December, but faltered in the final section of the exam. I hope the curve is generous and a score increase improves my application!

Applied to Akron and Buffalo on 2/4 and a ton of schools on 2/9. Here's to a good late cycle!

Wow are numbers are similar. and similar school applications except I'm on the west coast and your on the east. Hopefully Akron or Gonzaga throw us some major money they seem to have a reputation for doing that.

Honestly I don't know how I got in. I have a sneaking suspicion it had a lot to do with my letters of rec and pre college experience (army vet and other work). Good luck to you!

what up, numbers twin
