Additional info & updates

Cycle over. Iowa wins by a huge margin even though it was #9 on my initial preference list. Visited the campus. Saw how awesome it was. Realized what an education from Iowa will do for me in Chicago. Enough said.

07/30/09- Just received a phone call from Fordham. Accepted into the full-time program. Thanks for the offer Fordham, but I am IOWA bound. Withdrew.

05/02/09- Double whammy today. I just my waitlist letter from BC. Also, I got a letter from Chicago-Kent saying that I would get $20,000 a year if I maintained a 3.25 GPA.

04/29/09- Accepted at Chicago-Kent. Good to finally get another acceptance but I am fairly certain that I will not be attending.

04/23/09- Waitlisted via status checker at Fordham. Not sure how I feel about this.

04/16/09- Received an e-mail from Wisconsin yesterday saying I've been waitlisted w/ deferment option for 2 L. Sending an LOCI this weekend.

04/06/09- Just received an e-mail from WUSTL saying that I've been put on a waitlist. Thank you WUSTL. You are such a reach for me, I didn't think that you would even consider my application.

03/30/09- Waitlisted at Ohio State. Just checked the online status page and I've just become an "Alternate". Thanks Ohio.

03/19/09- Waitlisted at Indiana-Bloomington. Not too upset about it. Probably wouldn't have gone there anyway, unless they gave me money. Will withdraw soon.

02/21/09- Denied admission at George Mason. Not happy about it, but not completely distraught. Knowing that Iowa accepted me is quite beneficial to my mood (and sanity) right now.

02/20/09- Denied at Illinois via status checker. This one stings a bit because it was my second choice school.

02/19/09- In at University of Iowa via e-mail. Waiting to receive the mailed acceptance. YAY!!!!! First response from a school, and a great response at that.

Wisco - nearly same stats

Best of luck, dude. Why sending out apps so late? Any thought on our WI residency helping us?

congrats on Iowa

Hey, congrats to you too on Iowa. Kinda sucks ... here we sit with in-state tuition at Wisconsin (60K more for Iowa OOS) and an accepance to a higher ranked, OOS school with the same admission numbers as Wisconsin ... but as the stats suggest we will most likely get the shaft because Wisconsin is being utterly insane this year (161-162 in state students getting waitlisted!)
