02/24--I am pretty happy today! I am headed to law school! I received word yesterday that I have been accepted to the University of Miami. Certainly not my #1, but I was happy that the first decision I received was not a rejection. I had called their office to question why my file had not been marked as complete. I had not received an email and when I logged into MyUM it said that they were still waiting for the hard copies from LSAC. I spoke to a very nice lady in their admissions department and she informed me that my file was complete and that I had been admitted. Also, last night I logged into MyUM again and saw a big Congratulations message, so I figured that confirms everything. I am still waiting for my acceptance in the mail.

Additionally, my apps at Utah, BYU, and U of MN are all "under review" according to the online status checker at each school.

03/05--I received a rejection letter from GW via snail mail. No big surprise, it was certainly one of my reach schools. I also received an official acceptance letter from Miami last week.

03/06--Received an acceptance letter via USPS from Phoenix School of Law. Included with the acceptance was a Merit Scholarship for $15,000 per year. They were chosen as my final fall-back school particularly because I knew that my chance for a scholarship there was high.

03/11--Dinged by GMU via snail mail. Sad :(

03/12--Received acceptance from University of the Pacific in the mail. It arrived in a large white envelope. I was awarded the Dean's Scholarship Award ($15,000/year), and I was also awarded Honors at Entrance which pays for all my first year coursebooks. The school has invited me to participate in one of their 2009 Legal Scholar Days. They will reimburse my travel and pay for a rental car. I plan on attending the activity on April 24th. As a side, the Dean of Admissions wrote a really nice personal note on my acceptance letter. I thought that was pretty neat for him to take that time.

03/17--Rejection letter from U of MN via snail mail. Not a surprise at all because status checker reported last week that a decision letter was in the mail. Accpeted applicants are receiving phone calls.

03/17--Accpetance from Villanova via online status chekcer! Hopefully some money will be forthcoming as well!

03/20--Dinged at Illinois via status checker.

03/26--Huge surprise (completly exaggerated); I was wait-listed by W&M. I now join the hundreds of other waitlisters. Oh boy...

03/27--Another day, another wailist. This one from BYU. I have to say that I am disappointed with this one. I was really crossing my fingers! However, at least I still have a shot at it. Talk about a bad day, dinged by Ohio State as well today. Boy, I need some good acceptances, quick!!

03/30--Dinged at Utah via snail mail. I am really, really disappointed!!

04/01--Very happy! I received an email from Arizona State informing me that I have been accepted!! My wife is from Arizona, so this school is certainly high on my list. (Extra note: I just withdew from Phoenix School of Law. I hope someone else can be accepted in my place and use the scholarship money I was awarded.)

04/02--I just called into UA to find out where my application was in the process, and a wonderful lady (Kay Clark) told me that I was accepted just today!! She asked if I had any questions and spent some time helping me understand why UA would be such a great place to be!!

04/02--Received a letter in the mail informing me that I have been placed on the "Priority Waitlist" at the University of Richmond. Thinkin I might just withdraw. I have other great schools to choose from.

04/08--Accepted at UNLV via snail mail. Given a $6,000 scholarship.

04/20--Accepted at Pitt vial e-mail. Will withdraw tommorrow.

04/22--University of Colorado sent a rejection letter via USPS.

05/01--Rejected at UC-Davis via online status checker.

05/05--Rejected at UC-Hastings via snail mail.

05/07--BYU dropped me from their waitlist via snail mail.
