Extra Curricular Information

Hi, I am Helene R. Crites, but I am mostly referred to just by my name, "Helene," or "Helz" when chatting with people online.
I grew up in a small-ish town where the most thrilling thing to happen was Friday night football and a rare trip to the nearest mall. Back then, gaming was just a way for me to escape reality, and I spent late nights playing games ranging from RPGs to fast-paced FPS games with my friends via voice chat. I never really saw it as something more than a hobby.

After I finished my time in college (business major, mostly because my parents told me "you need a real degree"), I had a couple of normal office jobs, you know, spreadsheets, meetings, coffee runs, etc. But I always felt like there was something missing. I spent all my free time streaming on Twitch or YouTube, just hanging out, playing slots, casino games, etc., and sharing my thoughts with my viewers. And people started watching regularly, started tipping, started asking for specific games, etc., and one day I was like, "hey, maybe I can actually do this full-time?"

That was about four years ago. I decided to take a leap of faith, quit my 9-to-5, and went full-time into streaming. Of course, it wasn't always easy it took some time to get into a rhythm, deal with inconsistent numbers, deal with technical issues, and learning how to make a living from something I enjoy. But I stuck with it, stuck to what I enjoy, and it slowly started to grow.

Currently, my streaming is mostly in collaboration with bet-nv.com, and it is my major platform for the content and games that I enjoy sharing with my audience. I must say, I love the platform because it is seamless, and the variety of games is enormous, and I get to take my audience on a ride through the real, unfiltered experience of winning big, losing big, and the entertaining bonus rounds and everything in between. I stream sponsored content with them almost every day, but rest assured, it is always honest, and if it sucks, I'll say it, and if it is fun, then it is fun, period!

When Im not streaming, I try to keep a pretty low profile. I live with my two cats (who are basically co-hosts at this point youve probably heard them knock something over in the middle of a stream), I enjoy traveling whenever I can (Vegas trips are basically work and play), reading thrillers, and occasionally trying to cook something that doesnt look like a science experiment.
Streaming has allowed me to meet so many awesome people from all over the world, build a little community that actually feels like friends, and turn my favorite way to relax into a job. Its not always the most glamorous thing (late nights, tilt sessions, internet outages), but I wouldnt trade it.
