Extra Curricular Information

Things I harped on in my resume and personal statement:
- part owner of a medium sized business
- president of an established charity
- involved in some small organizations on campus
- 2 years younger than peers

I also definitely put Greek on my applications because that was the culture I grew up in. Unfortunately, I believe that still translates into white...

Additional info & updates

I originally thought UT and Baylor would be "dream" schools, so I applied to UofH to make myself feel better. I wanted an almost guaranteed admit to at least one school. I am really hoping to hear back from Texas, though. My sights are set there because of the girl, but I will settle for second best... Baylor.

Good luck with UT! I am totally wishin for some of their loving also. You've got some other good Texas schools, anyway. Though I'd rather live in Houston than Waco!!

Baylor and UH were my safeties. They're okay, but I really want SMU, American, or WashU. I think I would go to UH over Baylor though due to the Houston location. We'll see though. Are you planning to go to Admitted Students Days at Baylor or UH?

Thanks

I wish it worked that way! Hopefully your acceptance is already in the mail. I'll be rooting for you.

Thanks!

Thanks for the congrats. Congrats on BU and UH. Best of luck with UT--maybe I'll see you there. And I loved the "white, unfortunately". So damn true.

Yep it is true I am 18 right now. I will be turning 19 this upcoming April. Is that really so shocking? Haha, it seems like it is to a lot of people. Yes it is fun to be younger than your peers...I'll be some 4 years younger won't I now. Haha! I wish you the best of luck on your admissions buddy, I have no idea how UT let me in. But believe me, I was dancing on tabletops!

Sorry

Sorry about Texas. I definitely feel your pain. Where will you go Baylor or UH?
