Additional info & updates

3/15--Came home and found a small white envelope from Northeastern. Accepted! Also awarded a scholarship in letter. Yay!!!

3/21/07--Phone call from New England School of Law. Accepted! Yay!!!
3/22--Small white envelope from NESL. Accepted! Yay again! Also, received phone call from NESL again. They really want people to know that they've been accepted.
3/29--Small white envelope from NESL. Full tuition scholarship (as long as I keep grades in top 25%). Yay!!!

4/4--Large white envelope from Suffolk. Accepted! Yay!!! (Go Suffolk on being brought up from 4th tier to 3rd tier.) Also received large white envelope encouraging me to apply for a scholarship.

4/5--Small white envelope from Boston College. My heart sank. I opened it up and there was a blue piece of paper. I was waitlisted. Sigh.

4/6--I sent back the form to continue being on the waitlist at BC. At the same time, I also withdrew from Suffolk. It's not an easy decision to WD from a school. (Particularly not so soon after being accepted.) Suffolk is a beautiful school, and I'm certain that I would have been happy there.

4/13--No news, just mulling over things. The first deposit for NESL is due on 4/17. Northeastern's first deposit is not due until 5/1.

4/24--I visited Boston College today. Since I'm on the Priority Waitlist it was a bit of a downer. I would really, really like to go there. I decided to re-take the LSAT, in the off chance that an improved score would increase my odds of being accepted off of the waitlist.

4/28--Received thin envelope from BU. Rejected.

5/29--Submitted letter withdrawing from NESL. That was amazingly hard even though I hadn't really planned on attending there. I have a lot of friends who went there, and a few friends who are there, and it's a great place to study law.

7/3--Received LSAT score, no real improvement. Sigh. Have begun to lose hope that I will be accepted off the waitlist at BC. I was probably a bit too optimistic to begin with, I suppose.

Unless I am accepted off of the waitlist at Boston College, I will be attending Northeastern University School of Law, class of 2010. All in all, I'm pretty happy with the way things have turned out. Getting into Northeastern with a scholarship is nothing to shake a stick at!

Thanks. I am taking a legal writing class now. My teacher said that one of his students got acceptance to BU in summer. That was really late. I guess we need to be really patient.
