I sent my applications out in November and the first week of December.

The schools waited for my December LSAT score, hence the delay in responses.

2-22-08: Received my Harvard rejection e-mail. My GPA was too low. I knew I would be kicking myself years later for spending the first three years of school as a premed! My lucky streak has come to an end.

2-28-08: Received an invitation to interview letter from Cornell. I have my interview next week.

4-26-08: Just returned from a trip out to the Midwest to visit UMich, UChicago, and Northwestern. Michigan was beautiful and the admission officers were very friendly and receptive. I walked past Cass Sunstein at UChicago--I was awestruck to be in the proximity of a legal god. I did a self-tour there and dropped my name at the admissions office. When I arrived at NU for my interview, I was told that I had already been admitted, rendering my interview moot. I snooped about the law school building and met up with a friend from the med school.

5-06-08: Just received a phone call from UCLA admitting me. A little late--but I'm very thankful at the good news, especially coming now after a stressful few days of teaching and thesis writing.

5-19-08: I got a call today from UChicago. I've been accepted off the waitlist.

5-27-08: Withdrew from UChicago.

Thus ends my cycle.

I feel very grateful at the outcome of this application cycle. After some careful thought, I've decided to attend UPenn this fall. I'm very excited--students were down-to-earth and extremely enthusiastic over their school.

*And for those of you who were wondering why I do not have applications up here for NYU and Columbia, let's just say I messed up royally in the headers of my personal statements to the two. Not a biggie; I prefer a school with a smaller class size.
