12/8/05 - UVA Status to Decision - Hoping their 'holistic process' + my residency status nets something more positive than a rejection.

12/28/05 - Telephone call (waking me up!) from the Dean @ U of R, I'm In!

1/12/06 - Email from Tulane!!! I'm in!!

1/14/06 - checked mail at school.. W&M wants fall semester grades to make 'final judgement' on my application (letter dated 12/15/05)

01/20/06 - USPS envelope from W&M... I'M IN!!!!

01/24/06 - Tulane Admissions Packet... $30k/yr (renewable) Dean's Scholarship!

01/30/06 - Mail Check - Columbia "Reserve Category" (YAY!) and Harvard Rejection (expected)

03/02/06 - Called BU to ask whats up with my app, told me decision had been made the day before, asked what it was... put on hold (longest wait of my young life) and she came back and happily told me I was ACCEPTED!!!

03/22/06 - Received UVA Resident Priority Waitlist Email... there's still hope!!!

3/31/06 - LEOP Waitlist at Hastings via email/onine status checker.

4/10/06 - After much thought, I've decided to accept BU's offer. I will take great pleasure in telling my alma mater to shove it (I just can't stand Williamsburg any longer!)... praying for UVA/Columbia miracle.

How did you find out your UVa status? Was it a phone call or snail mail? Mine went to decison last night as well and I was just wondering.

Good luck -- you're pretty much my twin -- graduating in three years with pretty much the exact same numbers! The ironic thing is I was sooo close to going to W&M for undergrad - my final decision was between W&M and McGill and I went north ;-) Again -- good luck!
