Congrats on the great scholarship to Samford. Not having a mountain of debt may be worth more than a name on a piece of paper, but if you still want in at Alabama, make sure to let them know, send a letter of continuing interest, and check-in once every couple of weeks, see if theres any other way to connect to the school - like reading some of their professors papers on ssrn, or seeing if they gave any lectures posted on YouTube, connect to their social media etc. Dont over check in with admissions, but you can find other ways to connect.
