9/21: emailed Wash U and changed my application to Binding Early Decision

The only two schools marked complete are ASU and WashU, since LOR's are not in yet

9/26: Interview at Wash U in person

Accepted into Arizona State via phone call

9/29: Carried over to Wash U's regular applicant pool, as I expected, the full tuition scholarship that comes with Early Decision acceptance was a long shot anyway

9/30: Received scholarship packet from ASU in the mail, was asked to keep the amount confidential

10/2: Accepted to Miami via phone call w/ full tuition scholarship

10/6: Accepted to Alabama via phone call w/ $30,000 per year scholarship and offer to fly me down to Alabama for a visit

11/14: My final LOR was processed and all applications are now marked complete except for Northwestern, where I still need to interview

11/20: Accepted to George Washington University via email with $45,000 per year scholarship

11/28: Accepted to Arizona via email

11/29: Accepted to William and Mary via email

12/1: Scholarship email from Arizona in the amount of $31,000 per year, which comes to full tuition plus 2k/year stipend

12/21: Scholarship email from Iowa: $44,000 1L, $24,000 2L and 3L, with the chance to work as a research assistant in the last two years to give me in state classification, so almost full tuition scholarship, will be hard to pass up

2/20: Rejected from Northwestern

2/22: Waitlisted at BU

3/5: Waitlisted at WashU

3/17: Accepted to Illinois with a full tuition scholarship, with more info on the way. I hope that this scholsarhip includes fees as well, since the fees at UIUC are $4,300 per year, which is substantially larger than at other schools.

Did ASU really get back to you in 5 days? That's crazy. I just went complete for Early Admission yesterday

Friday, March 10 2017 at 08:02 PM

Yes, I applied Non-Binding Early Admission, and they were the first school that I heard back from

You're killing your cycle! Very confused about SLU tho?

I am assuming it is yield protection. On my application I indicated all of the other 18 schools that I was applying to, and SLU was the lowest ranked. I think they assumed, correctly, that they were just a safety school I did not intend to matriculate at.
