Additional info & updates

1/21/10--Got rejected from Wayne State today, I was not expecting this at all, at least not without being wait listed. Man.

1/22/10--Got accepted to Suffolk and rejected from Northeastern on the same day, lol, which completes my run at Boston. I got accepted to 2/3 law schools that I applied to. I was happy to see Suffolk, Northeastern didn't really surprise me, and since they start reviewing on the 1st for regular admission, they obviously rejected me pretty fast. Why does in-state law schools take so long? Man.

1/27/10--Got accepted to St. Mary's today, first one inside the state of Texas, it's about time, geez.

2/1/10--Got a scholarship offer from St. Mary's today, Dean's Scholarship for 8,000, have to stay in top ten percent. This gives St. Mary's a slight edge over New England and Suffolk pre-visit.

2/6/10--Got a scholarship from New England for 15,000 per year, 45,000 overall, much better requirements than St. Mary's, which now puts New England in the lead.

2/15/10--Officially waitlisted at MSU after my "re-review." Oh well.

2/16/10--Rejected from Houston today. This one really sucks because Houston was probably my top choice. Via status checker.

2/22/10--Updated to a "Hold" Status at FSU today via status checker.

3/1/10--"Decision In Transit" from UF today. I guess I'll get it in the mail in the next couple of days. I'm fully expecting a rejection based on the timing and the way that UF usually does their cycle.

3/3/10--Waitlisted at South Texas?! I have to say I was really expecting admission here, and was kind of hoping for it as South Texas was getting more appealing. Hopefully admitted after wait list we will see.

3/8/10--Rejected from UF today, like I said earlier, I was expecting it.

3/16/10-So, I'm going to St. Mary's next Tuesday for admitted student day reception. I'll let everyone know how it goes.

3/29/10--So I liked St. Mary's, liked the people, deans, profs, alumni, didn't like the location so much (very low income neighborhood) but outside of that it was fine. Dropped a deposit there, still waiting on Miami, FSU, UNC, and STCL.

4/1/10--Back under Review at FSU.

4/2/10--Decision made and in the mail at FSU, going to assume a rejection here.

4/5/10--It's my birthday today. Hopefully I won't receive any rejections in the mail.

4/8/10--I was admitted to Michigan State! I don't know if I'll attend yet, but it's nice to be accepted somewhere else after a long drought.

4/10/10--Rejected at FSU via snail mail, no scholly offer from MSU.

4/19/10--Admitted at South Texas! Pretty happy bout this.

4/26/10--Michigan State flew up for the weekend for a visit and I had a great time. It's a great school, great faculty, great students. But with South Texas in the mix can I really say no to the Houston area? I'm visiting South Texas on Wednesday, so we'll see. Miami tells me I'll have a decision by the 30th, that's four days they better get a move on!

And then there was one.....
4/26/10--UNC has rejected me, finally. Of all the law school admissions processes they had the worst one I think. No online fee payments, no status updates, and a very smug rejection letter. Anyone else experience this?

4/29/10--Decided to attend MSU. Visited South Texas, wasn't impressed with my prospects there, didn't like the Houston market because of immediate competition and dwindling jobs, and I knew that a South Texas degree is only good for well...South Texas. So unless Miami accepts me, Sparty On!

4/29/10--Officially waitlisted at Miami today. Haha, more waiting. But if nothing changes, MSU it is.

Thanks for the boost of confidence! I am pretty excited about the acceptances that I have received; however, I just wished they factored in other parts of my application too!

I think you are doing pretty well with the acceptances and scholarships! I am sure that you will have great options at the end of this cycle!

Yeah, I got bored and figured the LSP thingy would be a good idea. Add your scholly's to it, make it more interesting

Looks like we both got waitlisted by S. Texas in the same batch of emails! Funny how you got the same decision from FSU and Miami... S. Texas must be getting a lot of apps.
