Hi, What schools are you really waiting for to make a decision? I'm guessing Wake or WM are your top chioces, maybe GMU. Where would you like to attend?

Well, for starters, I can mainly just comment on the ug part of the school. Im kind of ambivalent about WF. It has a greek focus on its campus and its fairly clique-y. (Heard the ls is very clique-y too). Mmost kids come from rich families. EG, I live in a beach house thats about 100 yards from the beach, and I was prolly one of the poorer students there. Not much diversity on many levels at all. The one black kid I hung out with made me look ethnic. If youre cool with it being a very white, rich, elitest type of school with a inferiority complex with Duke, then you can handle the worst part about it. Nonetheless, I found the lil bit of diversity that does exist at the school while i was there. Amd the great thing about it for me was that I knew no one there before I went, not to mention I mainly knew out-of-staters, which gives some perspective about yourself and others. Also, theres not much entertainment in the area outside of the school's sports. Intramurals are kinda big there. The one big plus for the area is that buying a house in the area is relatively cheap, though most ppl i knew were either going to charlotte or dc for work. If you have any specifics, just ask. Sometimes I come off as cynical about the WF, but dont get me wrong, Im still glad I went there for ug.

hey :)

congrats on GMU :) We applied to a lot of the same schools. Good luck on WM, Wake, and UNC :) I hope we dont get cheated out of UNC for being from VA instead of NC.

hey :) W&M would be ideal, but I would take wake too, gmu is definitely my top choice of the ones I have been accepted too. Im from hofstra though, and they took our spot in the playoffs even though we beat them a lot during regular season, so im still a little bitter. :) Ill probably end up there. WM is right by my house, so im praying though :)

Congratulations on all your acceptances! With all your choices, have you ruled out Florida? If so, if you would consider letting them know by withdrawing, I would be very grateful! My fianc is on the waitlist there and it is his first choice.
