I haven't received anything from them. I called them at the beginning of the week and was told that they would be requesting reports this week.

Hi there! As for American and San Diego, I think we have a good chance at part time admission. Full-time is definitely a reach at both schools, but it is worth trying. I am hoping that if I am denied FT, that I will be offered a place in PT. Good luck!

Obviously I was wrong. I was outright rejected. Should have applied PT. oh well. Better luck to you I hope.

Why didn't you apply there? 14k after the first year and it's a better school then miami. What's up with the deacs? Is prosser leaving? Why is dukes on scholarship?

thanks for your kind words!! good luck getting into USD!!! about my application: I had a lot of extracurriculars...iono if that helped much. I think in general though, this year is a very numbers-based game, which kinda sucks but gives you hope every acceptance you get. Best wishes and I hope to see you at USD!! (if i end up going there)

Hi. You pretty much figured it out. I am really waiting to here from WM, I know it's a pretty big reach but I just had to try. For now GMU is my top choice- I'm from the Northern VA area and would like to go back there after I finish undergrad. If WM acceptsme, I really don't know how I'll decide between the two! Best of luck!

WF

By the way, how do you like it at Wake Forest? Now that I'm in at GMU, WF is the only school that I would leave the state of VA for if I were to be accepted. I've heard some great things about it.

UNC has been my top choice since the very beginning of this process. so, naturally i am thrilled. i plan to withdraw from all of the schools i have gotten into, however, i want to wait to hear what WF, emory and american have to say... ya know? all that work on those applications, i have to know if they would accept me.

Monday, March 13 2006 at 07:00 PM

hey bro, i read on someones post that you werent really happy with WF, is it just the student body or does it extend to faculty and administration as well? I know I am coming from a Long Island school and they are the worst for materialism, so I could deal with that, but faculty is a concern of mine... also, if you dont mind me asking, where you happy with the campus and stuff like that? Im not touring anywhere before deciding, so I am trying to get some feedback... thanks for any help you can give. :) good luck on UNC :) you have a distinct advantage with the NC thing and i think youll come through.

It does take a lot of time. ;)I just had nowhere else to put it. I did work for a gay legal group after graduation though. I was just freaking out about the cost, too. Now I have to really consider Alabama. That is why I don't like girls. ;) What guy would be scared of Miami?

hey did your online status checker for loyola say a decision had been made when u recieved your rejection?

Tuesday, November 29 2005 at 07:00 PM

The letter said something to the effect of "due to your outstanding academic credentials, you are among a group of highly competative applicants undergoing continuing review..." Basically they can't make a final decision at this time. The letter said they will try to have a final decision by May. Hope this helps. Good luck!

Don't fret

I would not be uset about ending up at Miami. I have friends there that love it. I feel your pain. I suppose I was waitlisted at Mason, and Loyola based on our different GPA. Pepperdine I've heard nothing from and I was actually surprised that I got in to Miami so early in the game. Once again, you have Miami and it's a good one. Take it and run. Good luck!

Congrats on UF! I am super nervous awaiting my decision there...it's definitely my top choice, but no email for me yet:(

That's great. I'm still sitting on pins and needles. I deposited Southwestern as it's due on 4/1. I have 2 weeks on Miami and USF. I wish McGeorge(UO Pacific) or USD etc. would happen already.

Congrats

Big congrats on UF. I think we will both enjoy it more than Virginia, the state flooded with law schools and traffic. With some of the numbers of people getting waitlisted at UF, I feel quite lucky.

hey bro
Monday, March 13 2006 at 07:00 PM

I asked you awhile ago, but i have one more question about wake. Im probably going to end up having to decide between there and george mason. I know mason is in a better area for work and all. The concern is that students live really far away and drive in for classes. do you know if the wake forest law kids all live in a general area. also, is the campus modern buildings or historic. also, is the law school on the campus? just trying to get an idea. trying to cut down on having to make that long ass try to visit. congrats on florida. Im so jealous. its so nice there.

hey :)
Monday, March 13 2006 at 07:00 PM

thanks for the advice :) it definitely will be negligible if I pull GWU, but even if I got a full ride to FU i would be hesistant. such a bad area and ny gets old so fast. Ill hit ya up later for more advice once the wake letter comes... fingers crossed...

UF living
Monday, October 03 2005 at 08:00 PM

Hey, I did a lot of looking around pretty recently actually because I wasn't sure what I wanted to do exactly for a living situation. I chose to move into a condo that a friend of mine owns, but I found a lot of good stuff scattered around. I'm assuming that you want a 1 bdrm? Everyone is going to have their own point of view, but for what it is worth, here is mine. 1. I'm really surprised that bsrlegal said that the law school suggested avoiding Camelot. Although it didn't really fit for what I wanted, a lot of law school students live there. It's fairly close to the law school and I don't think I have ever met an undergrad who lived there-not that they don't exist out there somewhere I am sure. 2. There are places that are more than heavily undergraduate-they do get loud. Among these are Lexington Crossing, University Commons, Campus Lodge, The Courtyards, Royal Village...That is what comes to mind right now, but if you want an opinion of if a place is or not I would be happy to give it to you. 3. I did a search on Facebook to see where current law students live- College Park, Pointe West, Camelot, and Picadilly came up fairly frequently. 4. The places that I found that it was between for me if I didn't move in with my friend were Towne Parc and Pinetree Gardens. I also liked the Polos but they can get a little expensive depending. I've never used Apartment Hunters myself, but they are probably very helpful. I feel like I've hardly scratched the surface, so if you have any other questions or just want some more suggestions, feel free to email me. I will see you in the fall!

Gainesville
Thursday, October 20 2005 at 08:00 PM

I'm in Orlando, so I don't have any insider tips as to living in Gainesville. I'm taking a trip up there next week to look around. If I find out anything I'll be sure to pass along the information. I look forward to meeting you in the fall. Go Gators!

I know about as much as you know right now. Point West, Piccadilly, and magical houses for rent right beside the law school.

Campbell
Friday, March 03 2006 at 07:00 PM

Hey! You left a note on my page about getting accepted to Campbell. They were the only school that accepted me so I guess that's where I'm going. I was waitlisted at 3 others, but I don't really want to be kept hanging. Anyway, good luck with UF and let me know if you decide to come to Campbell.

Apartments in Gainesville
Saturday, February 11 2006 at 07:00 PM

Sorry it has taken me so long to reply. I haven't been online in awhile because I was busy getting married. I am from Tampa, so don't know much about Gainesville apartments, but I did receive a Rental Guide for Gainesville in the mail today. If you didn't get one, you can order one (free) at 800-277-7800. See you in the fall!

Go Gators!

I was reading your 'additional' and 'extracurricular' info and saw you wrote that if UF 'went all the way' in basketball, you'd come here. haha, did you ever actually think we'd make it all the way?!?! I just think that's soo funny and random (well, maybe not for a guy). But anyway, CONGRATS! and especially on the $1,000!! I don't know if you were at the 'early admitted students day' a while ago but they outlined the money they give out and how to finance law school, etc and they basically give NO money out, so the more congrats to ya!! =)
