Additional info & updates

12/10/2009: Surprise! I got my first LS acceptance from Whittier Law School via email. I will find out in a later email if I qualify for a merit-based scholarship.

12/12/2009: Received a small envelope in the mail from Whittier Law School. Included a one-year scholarship of $21,000.

12/18/2009: Final Decision has been mailed for Southwestern University School of Law.

12/23/2009: Received a large envelope from Southwestern University School of Law--acceptance letter included! No word of scholarship money yet, but the letter does say "we will continue to review your file for scholarship consideration as additional funds become available." Not sure if that means I probably will not get scholarship money.

01/27/2010: Received a large envelope (acceptance!) from Thomas Jefferson School of Law. Very happy about it, but sad that it did not contain a scholarship.

01/28/2010: Status Checker for California Western went to "Final Decision has Been Mailed"...Hopefully it will be an acceptance!

01/29/2010: Accepted at Cal Western. No scholarship offered.

02/10/2010: Logged into my online status checker for Chapman and "In review" was changed to "ADMITTED"! I am so happy! I am 99% sure I will be going there!

02/11/2010: Received a small envelope from Thomas Jefferson School of Law with a $14,000/year scholarship. It is renewable contingent upon maintaining in the top 30% of the class.

Thanks for the heads up! So I am guessing that they awarded you 21 k as it says in your profile? Is that for the first year and then you can renew? Thanks man!

Gongrats on Southwestern... I am hoping to get in there--it is my number one pick. Just hoping for anything but the waitlist.(already waitlisted to 2 of 3 schools I have heard from) I applied a little before you so I hope to hear something soon. Did they first send you an email that said you were accepted?

congrats

Congrats on Southwestern. I just finished my first semester. The school has really exceeded my expectations. Shoot me an email if you have any questions or look me up at top-law-schools.com. Same user name.

Hey, I was wondering did Cal Western email you saying that your application was complete? I sent my application in a week ago, but haven't heard anything so I was just going to check with other people before I call.

congrats

Hey! Gongrats on all your acceptances...ESP on Chapman. Do you mind withdrawing your application from Southwestern? I would really like to go there and still don't have a decision.

Hii! Have you considered retaking the lsat? I had the same numbers you did last cycle and got into chapman yet increased to 159, applied October instead of January, and got a full scholarship. Just a thought, might save you lots of $$$ :P
