Additional info & updates

I did my first year at Southwestern. I transferred to Loyola Law School, and was one of three transfers invited to join the Loyola of Los Angeles Law Review.

After graduating from Loyola in the top 25%, I moved to Washington DC for an LLM in Securities and Financial Regulation at Georgetown Law.

After Georgetown, I moved to the Russian Federation on a fellowship to study the Russian legal system. I am currently enrolled in a two-year MA in Public Law at the Higher School of Economics in Moscow.

You're welcome. Study hard for Feb, and then chill the day before to get your head straight. Good luck and Happy Holidays!

I got a bit carried away, but I'm hoping that my soft factors hook some of my reach schools and some of my safties/targets come up with big money. I budgeted the money to spend, and after the fee waivers rolled in, I just said, "What the hell," and sent out more.

thanks

I'm just not going to be put on it. I never sent the email confirming that I wanted the spot on the waitlist that they offered.

Hey I saw you were in the same waitlist group for Mizzou. I'm from LA area also and have similar scores. Good luck with the rest of your cycle!

Thanks, I am just glad this is almost over for me. I'm not sure whether I'll stay in Missouri or not. Right now, it's one of the better schools, and probably the best price tag, but I am trying to weigh it all out. Are you hoping to practice in Missouri?

i'm pretty sure cinci is where im gonna end up. what about you?

Thanks.........

For the compliment my friend. And congrats on your acceptance into the SCALE program at Southwestern. I originally applied for that program but since I got into CLEO I told them that I was no longer interested in the SCALE option. However, they still turned me down for a slot in the FT division despite my acceptance into CLEO. Oh well. But best of luck to you!

I considered Loyola, especially liked the entertainment law emphasis. I had a family friend who attended for a year and told me he didnt enjoy it. Plus, I'm trying to stay out of downtown with the obvious exceptions of UCLA and SC. Have you checked out Southwestern?

Well I applied to two schools in LA at the last minute because there was a chance my significant other might move out there. I wanted an option on the west coast to cover my bases but I also don't feel like jumping through hoops to get off a wait list when the chance of my moving is slim -- so, I withdrew from SW.

No, I visited it and came to the same conclusion as with LMU... just don't want the big city atmosphere because I feel like I would be distracted. Congratulations though! Southwestern is a very good school

Let me know if you start this year. I am planning on SCALE but still waiting on an answer from Loyola. Going to LA next week to find a place to live.

I'm doing the regular day program I think. I see you're doing the SCALE program? Isn't that the 2 year accelerated thing? Are you from LA?

Thanks, man. Congrats to you as well. I've enjoyed reading you dismantle ignorant and often elitist posters on TLS. Maybe I'll catch you on campus.
