Additional info & updates

11/12 I had my alumni interview with Northwestern last night and it went really well. I wish they put a lot of weight on the interview, but I know post-graduate work experience is more important to them.

11/16 Sent in my Wash U app and realized they gave me a fee waiver when I checked out. They never informed me of it before, but I'm glad I applied.

12/21 I got home from school to find a huge packet on my bed from Loyola- my first acceptance!

1/21 I got my Wash U acceptance via email while sitting in class. It definitely made it hard to concentrate on stem cells!

1/25 I understand the idea of saving paper, but sending acceptances in a small white envelope can nearly give an applicant a heart attack. Received Washington and Lee acceptance today.

1/20 Acceptance and lots of money from George Washington!

1/24 Acceptance in a small white envelope from Hastings.

1/29 I received a nice little email from Washington and Lee giving me a $17,000 per year scholarship as long as I maintain a 3.0. I'm still leaning toward GW unless Wash U gives me a sizable scholarship.

2/3 Held at Northwestern. Definitely sending in the form to say that I'm still interested!

2/23 Had a great time at GW's Admitted Student's Reception, very impressed by the Dean's address!

2/25 Wash U just made my decision infinitely harder with a scholarship that beats GW's. What to do?

3/2 Waitlist from UCLA. Hey, it's not a rejection.

3/10 Waitlist email from Duke for their joint JD/MS program. I would absolutely love this program and it's right in line with my training so here's to hoping!

3/13 Another waitlist, this time from USC. I'm still interested, but waiting is no fun.

3/22 Withdrew from Loyola, Hastings, and Washington and Lee. I figured it was better to free up my spot and scholarship money.

3/25 After being in review at GTown for over 2 months... preferred waitlist.

4/21 Just withdrew from Wash U and sent in my nonrefundable seat deposit to GW. I hope I'm making the right decision!

4/29 Officially waitlisted at Northwestern.

6/28 Completely unexpected acceptance from Northwestern! What?

I also got into GWU, but not mention of money (we have similar backgrounds too). The scholarship offer was included with your acceptance package?

The scholarship offer was included in the acceptance package in the form of a letter from the Office of Admission and Financial Aid.

Haha yeah, I guess as engineers our scope is kinda limited. But the women (and as I've been told by many girls, the men) aren't that great. We don't have a particularly attractive student body (no offense, of course) =P
