Work in a law-related field. Scholarship amounts are 4-year total.

2/3: Am in review at Chicago-Kent, Depaul, and Maryland as of Feb 1st. Pretty quick turnarounds.

2/4: Accepted at American via e-mail.

2/13: Accepted at GMU by phone, DePaul by e-mail. Probably not going to apply to Rutgers-Camden since I got into GMU, and I haven't found info as to Rutgers giving scholarships for part time.

Pretty much at this point it'll be about trying to get money from Temple, Maryland, or Chicago-Kent hopefully by having scholarships to DePaul and Catholic to compare to. No way I'm getting money from GMU.

2/18: Received DePaul packet in the mail w/ $12,000/year Dean's Merit Scholarship.

2/24: Free t-shirt from DePaul in the mail. Pretty stylish, too.

2/25: Accepted at Chicago-Kent via e-mail.

2/28: Accepted at Temple via status checker. Hoping to see some Benjamins in the mail! Also, WTF Maryland what is taking you so long?

3/4: Received Temple package in the mail yesterday, no money. Have made contact with admissions, and will send a negotiating e-mail once I have my Chciago-Kent package.

3/9: Received Chicago-Kent package in the mail w/ $15,000/year scholarship w/ 3.25, can be renewed at 50% w/ a 3.0, or guaranteed regardless of GPA at $9,000.

3/18: Admitted to Catholic via Status Checker and e-mail; received Faculty Merit Scholarship by e-mail thatrequires top 25% of class to renew. Even with $ it is still more expensive than GMU.

3/22: Temple negotiation success! Cost of attendance now on par with GMU and $3-5k/year more than the Chicago schools. Am going to try to lay as much groundwork as possible for re-establishing in-state status for years 2-4. Though it is supposed to be difficult in PA, I grew up there and want to work there so I'm hopeful.

4/1: Sent negoatiation e-mails to DePaul and Kent. Neither would remove stipulations, DePaul claimed that they don't negotiate at all. Kent considered but did not change the package.

4/13: DePaul increased scholarship total by $3k/year via e-mail.

4/15: Withdrew from all but GMU and Temple. GMU agreed to move deposit deadline to 4/30. Paid first seat deposit ($150) to Temple.

4/25: Maryland called urgently asking if I wanted to attend. I said I would need a scholarship making it comparable to GMU; they said they'd look into it. A week later: they never called back.

4/30: Didn't send deposit to GMU. Looking at deferring Temple and earning in-state status over the next year.
