Being waitlisted is a drag... Especially when it's your dream school. Good luck!

01/20/09- I was a little upset about being waitlisted at SLU- it's my #1. But not all hope is lost so I can't be too discouraged... right?

02/10/09- I visited the campus yesterday. I went on the tour and I was also able to speak to someone in admissions and someone from the Center for Health Law Studies, and even a few people from Career Services. All were very nice and very encouraging. I'm sure that is nothing out of the ordinary so I encourage everyone that is interested (and is able) to pay them a visit- waitlisted or otherwise. Anyway, I'll keep everyone posted.

04/12/09- I got an exceptionally nice letter from the Dean at UMKC. I was accepted and she offered her congratulations but the exceptionally nice part was the hand-written note at the bottom! Amazing, I know! She made special reference to the content of my personal statement, and I was touched that she took the time to tell me so. I don't care who you are or how well you did on the LSAT- that school should be considered. How many "Top-20" schools have sent out acceptance letters with hand-written notes on them from the Dean? I didn't think so...

04/16/09- I haven't heard anything from SLU Law but I have been accepted to SLU's Master of Public Health program! I was planning on entering their joint-degree program (JD/MPH) anyways so this is GREAT news!

05/01/09- So today's my birthday and guess what... I was ACCEPTED at SLU School of Law!!! Happy Birthday indeed!

Congrats on the acceptance. I'm also on the wait list. Hopefully when I go home I have some good news in the mail box too. How did the decision come? Letter, packet?

Congrats!

I got in, too! Kolnick called me Thursday night, the day after my hubby accepted a job near St. Louis (we're in IN now). It's meant to be! I'd been told they didn't start taking from the WL until after June 1st. Whew!
