Extra Curricular Information

I took the June LSAT and I have to believe waking up at 11 instead of 7 probably helped my score (not a morning person...). Basically what I did was study old exams, which I think everyone ultimately agrees is the best way.

I have a few areas of law I'm interested in, but I don't think I addressed any of that anywhere in my applications. Personally I liked my PS, but I have no way of knowing whether it was objectively good. My LoRs were from professors who knew me well, but only in an academic capacity. I loved my extracurriculars in college, and I was actively involved in what interested me, but they weren't very standard pre-law. I really wished when I was going through the application process that I had joined some sort of pre-law society, but I guess it didn't matter.

Additional info & updates

Dec. 14-- I'm sort of getting to this late, but hopefully it helps people who are still applying or waiting to hear back. To recap in chronological order:

HLS: In by phone call, called everyone I know, heard "Wouldn't it be funny if you got rejected everywhere else?" more times than I could shake a considerably large stick at. Yes. Very funny.

Duke: Email saying my decision had been sent out (but not what it was! Oh, what twisted mind games you and your sunny weather weave)

Michigan: I love them. I truly do. I think inside they know it.

Boalt: I got a complete notice literally 2 days before the acceptance call. He was so nice, and took a moment to mock our snowy, snowy weather before he told me the good news!

Stanford: I was at work when I got the "No Name" call on my cell phone (with Harvard and Boalt, at least I had the area code to prepare). She was incredibly friendly and really helpful. I was so excited!

Dec. 19 -- In at Penn! (by phone call) :)

Dec. 22 -- Talked to Dean Zearfoss on the phone this morning, offered full Darrow! I'm just speechless, it's like a dream.

January 31 -- I got accepted to NYU and Columbia... at some point... in the past month. Exciting, exciting.

March 14 -- I got into Yale. I got into YALE. Crazy! I didn't believe it for about 2 days. My cycle is now officially done, so I'm posting more information about myself that will hopefully address some of the most common application worries. :)

I also did Michigan's preview weekend and pretty much fell in love. It's going to be a very tough decision in which I suppose no wrong choice can really be made.

You bet your patooty I did! Congratulations on Yale - that's absolutely amazing! Of course, I still think you should come out here, but that's another matter all together.

I am also considering the top 3 public school to go to as an undergraduate next year. Do you think you could tell me a little bit about it, specifically what you did to keep up your grades and study for the LSAT?
