Additional info & updates

4-01-2010: Just a little updating. I got rejected at Iowa via status checker and snail mail. I was surprised since of all the schools I had pending, I thought I was going to be accepted. Got waitlisted at Wisconsin which I was surprised about since I thought I'd be rejected. And an acceptance from Chicago-Kent. No surprise. But I'm very close to putting in my seat deposit at the U of Utah. Just waiting on some schools.

3-09-2010: I got into the U of Utah, which was one of my early favorites, then wasn't, but somehow the acceptance was really nice. The Dean of Admission even commented that I sounded very excited. Which I was. :)

2-19-2010: I was rejected at Illinois which was my top choice. Oh well. I'm starting to think that I might take the LSAT again and apply for next fall. But we'll see how the rest of the cycle goes.

2-17-2010: I got waitlisted from Penn State the other day via email. I was surprised, but tis life. I guess I needed to have done everything earlier. Live and learn. At W&L, my status checker says that a decision has been made and that they are sending me something in the mail. I guess that means it's not an acceptance, but whatever. I wasn't expecting to get in. But we'll see when it gets here :)

2-11-2010: I got an email from Minnesota telling me that I'm waitlisted. Wasn't really a surprise. I thought I'd either be waitlisted or denied. So we'll see what happens. I really like this school.

2-9-2010: I got a letter from DePaul telling me that I'm on the waitlist. Really? I was very taken back

2-4-2010: I just got a call from George Mason today telling me that I'm in! The first place I've heard back from and my first acceptance! :)

1-15-2010: I put through almost all of my applications today. I don't recommend doing that... Took me forever. But I think that my personal statement is very well put together, so I hope that can put me over the edge in a lot of places.

1-9-2010: For now, I'm only going to be applying to the places that I've received fee waivers for the absolute lack of funds. I'll re-evaluate my funds in a month and see if it's possible to apply anywhere else. Though, I am thinking of retaking the LSAT and applying in the next cycle. My 2nd LSAT was a disaster. 10 points below where I was scoring of practice tests. Though, don't take my numbers as an indicator of how you'll do. I'm kind of a weird applicant.

12-6-09: To comment on yesterday, I'm not too sure how I did. I totally screwed up on the first game because I wrote down a wrong letter when rewriting the rules. I finally realized it as I was finishing that game, but it made my 3rd and 4th games suffer.

I got my LSAT score a little while ago from the October test and I was not pleased. I will be retaking in December. Even with this score, I've gotten several fee waivers.

Notable fee waivers (I'm still baffled that I got them): University of Minnesota, University of Illinois-UC, Indiana University- Bloomington, University of North Carolina, George Mason, BYU, U of U
