Decisions
*************************************************

American: Big Package... received it 1-24-07

Boston College: Big white envelope

Columbia: Got an email about admitted student events. Then got a call from a 3L... he assured me that I was in and I got a nice big binder that day

Georgetown: Online status check switched to decision on 1-22-07. Acceptance came a few days later with a nice handwritten note about my past involvement in public interest and how Georgetown shares those values.

Harvard: Got the hold email on feb. 8th. Sending two additional LORs. One is from a Law Professor that I'm TAing a Grad level class for. Another from my internship supervisor. I'm also writing a letter of continued interest... hope I don't come off as desperate/pathetic :-)

NYU: No complete notice, but I'll forgive them :) The letter was dated 12/15. First acceptance felt nice!

Northeastern: Send my decision a little late in the game... no scholarship info.

UPenn: Got a call from the dean, which was nice. Got a nice binder a few days later.

UVA: status check read "Decision" on 1/9, got the letter on 1/12 The letter said that I would warrant special consideration for merit aid and designation as a Dean's scholar (hoping that's not just a form letter)

2-27-07 Withdrew my pending application (via Email) from Cardozo yesterday... I'm also withdrawing from my other safeties by mail today/tomorrow...

Received Letter from Penn awarding naming me a James Wilson Scholar (20K/yr no grade requirements)

Between 3-27 and 3-31
While I was visiting Columbia and NYU, UVA sent me a Dean's Scholarship :). $60K and no requirements.

4/2 Withdrew from Gtown as they began to evaluate me as an alternate for the Dean's Scholarship. It was just too big. Getting the clinics and oppurtunities I want in Law school is just too important to me. (The money from Penn and UVA helped too)

4/20 CLS did their best to match my offers and got back to me in one day when I called. I called NYU twice and they told me a) they rarely match, then b) they don't ever match, and then c) they emailed me that they carefully considered my other offers but could not match them... I liked CLS better anyway at the ASW so that just made my decision easier...

5/1 Sent my CLS deposit

5/3 Waitlisted by Harvard with the letter dated 4/30 (a Sunday)... uninformative, but friendly FAQ letter told me in detail that they cannot tell me anything
