Your non-traditional story, but mostly your AWESOME LSAT makes it very likely for you to end up at a t14 if not Harvard/Yale. Congrats!!!

Thanks

Here's to hoping, anyway. :)

Apply...

to all the DC and Philly schools. If you REALLY plan to do publiscsector law, I'd take the best $$ offer you get form a T1 / High T2 school. In either case, GL!

Good Luck!!!

I'm sure you'll do exceptionally well this cycle. I'll be keeping an eye on you. *wink*

not really...

I'm actually not applying to Michigan. I haven't even thought about it. I just don't want to live in Michigan! Is that a stupid reason?? I figure the only way I will stay in the midwest is if I stay here in Indiana or if I go to Chicago. (I know what you mean about fast forwarding a few months!) Hey I know this is getting kind of long, but do you have any idea how busy 1L's are? Do you think we'll have time to do anything else? Depending on where I go, I really want to try out for another NFL Cheerleading team.....

Okay, that's it. Everything is in that's going in, unless I change my mind later about Boalt or NYU. Good luck to you all this cycle!

You rock
Friday, September 01 2006 at 08:00 PM

And I'm sure you'll get in! Your GPA was a long time ago, the schools will realize that. Congrats on getting everything finished :) In a way it's nice, but in another way, it's irritating that all I have to do is sit around and wait, obsessively checking the mail every day... sigh. Best of luck :)

Thanks! And congrats to you too! We will rock this cycle. I got the Stanford form and check in the mail yesterday. It just makes me mad when I think that's something that could easily have been done a month ago! oh well... better late than never eh?

You're right, I always thought of Ivy Leaguers as total snobs, but you aren't that at all (quite the opposite ;)) and besides, OU has its fair share of snobs (all those Plano/Dallas kids...). You meet all kinds of people everywhere you go, I guess. :)

Drexel

Just sent in an app. Like what I read about the co-op program. Drexel shouldn't have any trouble getting ABA acred.

thanks

Wednesday, January 17 2007 at 07:00 PM

hey deldad, about how long have you been out of college? i'm planning on applying to law school about 6 or 7 years after having graduated and am wondering aproximately how long you have to be out of school to be considered "untraditional." thanks and best of luck

UVA

Have you heard anything from them? It's taking them a really long time to make a decision. I've been waiting on them since 10/6. But congrats on Penn.

re: waiting
Saturday, January 06 2007 at 07:00 PM

I'm definitely still hoping for good news from C or H, but if they don't come through, it's down to Penn vs. NYU. I like the broader variety of classes at NYU, but I get a much better vibe overall from Penn. Good luck with the rest of the cycle!!

although penn is a notch down from your beloved alma mater, it's still a solid choice considering what you've described as relevant considerations. good luck and hope stanford comes thru for u!
