Additional info & updates

Scholarships per year

11/30- Into villanova via status checker. LSP had me at a reject and I want to practice in PA so this is a great acceptance, and a quick turnaround! I'm going to law school!!

12/6- Withdrawing from Brooklyn. I have no interest in going there as I'd go to Villanova over Brooklyn no matter what and I don't see myself getting $ at Brooklyn. Plus I've heard a lot of bad things about the school from students and law school publications so I decided to move my app out of the way so the school doesn't waste its time.

12/10- Accepted at DePaul with Dean's Scholarship (15k per year)! I love Chicago so this is a nice acceptance, hopefully I get similar scholarships elsewhere :).

12/15- Accepted at Loyola Chi via large envelope, no money until March. Also got my DePaul t-shirt, pretty nice!

12/16- In at USF via email. 4 for 4 so far =).

12/17- Letter from USF with no money. Looks like I will be withdrawing soon from USF.

12/18- Into Pitt, I've seen the school before and I really like it and I have a lot of family in Pittsburgh. Definitely have to consider it, go Steelers!

12/22- Wasn't in the first round of acceptances for Penn State, looks like this cycle will drag on another month!

12/22- Threw in an application to Missouri. I'm not sure why i didn't apply there in the first place as it is a perfect fit for me. They are solid in the region (I like the midwest) and relatively inexpensive, plus my gf is getting a masters in public affairs (Missouri's public affairs school is top notch). Heres to hoping a late app won't spell doom for me, I think I'd seriously consider this school.

1/8- In at Missouri with in state tuition! quick turnaround and a cheap school, very excited

1/15- First rejection: Maryland! That's okay, wasn't interested in moving to Baltimore.

1/20- First waitlist: Yeshiva! Probably will withdraw myself from the waitlist

1/26- Waitlisted at American, will stay on but not too interested in the school, especially at full price. Got into St. John's with 20k and only got a 5k scholarship at Loyola-Chi.

2/1- In at Oregon with 4k a year with no strings attached. I've been to Eugene once and really liked it! Also got 8k a year at Missouri in state!

2/9- In at Loyola Law School, no word on money yet

2/15- Second review on Iowa, not very interested in the school anymore but its better than a rejection right? Having trouble choosing between my 3 remaining schools.

2/18- This could turn out to be a difficult choice. Villanova has been my first choice since I started looking at law schools 3 years ago, but the cost is a little scary and there are some other (personal/family) factors. I really hope to be attending Villanova but I might not be able to =(. Probably will withdraw from all pending schools next week.

2/25- Finally into Penn State after 3 months in review. When I applied I planned on attending if I got in, but a lack of correspondence from the admissions office and some good placement numbers recently from Villanova has changed my mind. Scholarship info from PSU to be sent out next week so a big scholly could make a difference.

3/14- Change of heart? New scholly money? Down to 2, glad I didn't send seat deposit at Nova yet. Loyola chi vs. nova

4/1- Can't make up my mind, gonna visit the 3 schools

Congrats on your acceptance too!! I really like the area and what the school has to offer, but I'm not sure if I would attend without any scholarship money. I'm going to see how my cycle goes and what my financial situation is. What about you?

No money in the letter, and I don't really think I'll get any in the future. From what I've seen, it doesn't look like they give out much. What about you?

Our numbers are identical, and we are applying to a lot of the same schools. So, some of your acceptances are giving me hope. Good luck with all the places you haven't heard from!

Congrats on your cycle thus far! Things look pretty promising for you. I'm curious, what are some of the negative things you've heard about Brooklyn Law School?

When did you get "decision rendered?" Mine went to that 3/31, and I still haven't gotten anything. The letter is going to Chicago though... so hopefully that's why? Congrats, btw!
