No, their letter sounded like a deferral to me. My file is "on hold" until later in the cycle, or something to that effect. It seems like essentially the same thing.
we have similar numbers...both ivy...and in-state texas residents...I just found out about UT two days ago...best of luck to you!
Thanks for the congrats on UT! I was really excited. I was initially deferred in early November, then I sent them a continuing interest letter in early January. I was out of town for a few days and received an email inviting me to their FreshLaw website, and I was thinking hmm, is this an acceptance? When I finally got back to check my mail, sure enough there as my acceptance letter. I didn't even know that they had a status checker, so I have no clue if it changed or anything. Good luck to you!
I did not get a letter of recommendation from anyone at V&E. Also, I don't think that my experience helped me too much, because I wasn't there very long. Yours may help you, but I really don't know. Good luck to you this cycle.
