Additional info & updates

Sum of my time 7/6/09 -10/16/09: Stress, self-doubt, hubris, panic, calm...175. Brown people can do it! =)

10/20/09 - The South is coming hard for me. UT/Duke/UVA email fee waivers. Columbia hidden fee waiver - ashamed to proclaim your love for me?! Can I get some urban non-South attention please?

11/16/09 - Just got my Cornell waiver via snailmail. That means a clean sweep of the merit-giving T16. Apps are out... y me ando esperando.

11/23/09 - Harvy never sent me a complete email but my status checker changed to under review on 11/20. Nervous! Oh, and dinged at UT. No bueno.

12/1/09 - So "under review" is not what I thought, now complete at Harvy. Accepted at UCLA!

12/16/09 - In at Berkeley! Decision in the mail from Gtown. Couldn't be happier.

1/15/10 - JR1 today. It is a great feeling!

1/25/10 - JR2 today and Stanford last week. Very fortunate man here. !!!

2/2/10 - Dinged at Yale. Post-perfunctory-privileged-ridiculous sting of such a rejection, I now have a tough choice to make between SLS v HLS. Cycle pretty much over pending Hamilton at Columbia (lol).

2/7/10 - I wrote too soon... HAMILTON! I used the postmark as the decision date.

2/8/10 - Offered to apply for the Toll at Penn. Can't compete with the Hammy so I withdrew today.

2/23/10 - Finalist for AnBryce @ NYU. I've used too many exclamations points already but...!!!

3/30/10 - I am taking the AnBryce. Too great of a package to ignore.

Good luck to current and future applicants!

I am at a similar place in my preptests! I was scoring 165 - 169 on my preptests in June then hit a 160... I'm retaking in two weeks! we have the same GPA... and we're looking at similar cycles since we are both latino!! good luck!

Actually... i was shocked by my score. I knew I did poorly on RC but i had no idea it was THAT bad. My normal -3/-4 on RC turned into a -10! I've just been doing RC passages this past month. Hopefully it'll click and I'll hit 166+ in two weeks!

Hey there, fellow top LAC graduate: I believe I know who you are... :-) Quick: who is Marmalade? Seriously, awesome job on the LSAT. You are destined to kick major ass at wherever you want to go. And it couldn't have happened to a smarter or nicer guy.

Pretty stupid -

The UT rejection, that is. Lucky for you, though, that you're just being YPed. Have fun at HYS.

Sunday, August 16 2009 at 08:00 PM

hey, congrats on UCLA! judging by our mutual friends, im sure you're a great guy and deserve great stuff this cycle...:)

Saturday, June 27 2009 at 08:00 PM

Yay for (hopefully) YP! The flat-out rejection threw me off.

Thanks and congrats!

Thanks for the vote of confidence on Stanny (I am now calling it by its cuter nickname, too) and congrats on UCLA with $! That Texas rejection is some utter YP BS and should be disregarded. I predict very happy news for you in the upcoming weeks...

congrats

Sunday, September 06 2009 at 08:00 PM

I'm shocked about UT! Your numbers are better than mine and I was placed on the "hold" list after I applied EA. Congrats on Berks and UCLA! Those are definitely two of my top choices!

Saturday, December 19 2009 at 07:00 PM

Wow, congrats on your amazing LSAT score. I'm shocked that you didn't get into UT; their loss! I'm sure you'll get in everywhere else. Congrats on what I'm sure will be a terrific cycle!

Sunday, August 16 2009 at 08:00 PM

withdrew from UCLA? i can't bring myself to do it yet, and i can't figure out why! was it hard for you, or do you have a far and away number one at this point?

Sunday, July 06 2008 at 08:00 PM

congrats on Stanford!! :)

Congratulations!
Tuesday, July 08 2008 at 08:00 PM

Congrats on Stany and Harvy! That is so ridiculously amazing! Do you know which you'd attend? Waiting on Yale?

Sunday, July 06 2008 at 08:00 PM

um, yes! I'm going to Stanford's (only) and Harvard's first ASW :)

Sunday, July 06 2008 at 08:00 PM

HAMMY BABY!!!!!!!!!!! niiiccccccccceeeeeeeeee :)

Sunday, July 06 2008 at 08:00 PM

NEVAR! but realistically if you got rejected i'm sure i will as well. you got the hamilton for crying out loud!

Sunday, July 06 2008 at 08:00 PM

ohh if only. i did just go complete a week before the 1st wave of rejects and my gpa is fudged on the high side so we'll see. my fingers are crossed but i'm very happy with where i am right now. so what's it gonna be? hamilton, stanford, harvard??

Monday, January 25 2010 at 07:00 PM

Hi, I bet you're getting a lot of questions about the Hamiton vs. HLS/SLS decision. Are you leaning one way or the other? It's such a hard call...I'd love to talk with you about it if you have the time to shoot me an email.

No worries!
Tuesday, July 08 2008 at 08:00 PM

Dude, forgettaboutit! You're a busy man. And thank you for the congrats! I just booked my flight for Berk's ASW. I will definitely see you there! So excited!
