Additional info & updates

I applied ED to Michigan and was deferred and ultimately rejected - I was very disheartened by this, as some people with similar stats got in there this cycle.

I desire to work in the midwest after graduation, and it was a tough decision between Illinois, Indiana and Chicago-Kent. I eventually picked Indiana because I loved my visit there, felt it was an environment I could succeed in, and the financial aid package I received there was second to none.

Do you like it for its cleverness or for its truthfulness?

Good luck!

Hey, I just saw your comment on my profile. Michigan is good about looking at your whole application package, and I think applying ED will help ya. Good luck with your cycle! Let me know if you have any questions about Mich. :)

Hey, The stipulations are very vague and read, "this award is renewable contingent upon your maintaing satisfactory progress at the end of your first year and each subsequent semester thereafter and not being disciplinary sanctioned for professional or academic misconduct." Not entirely sure what constitutes satisfactory progress though.

Good Luck

I see you received the full ride you wanted from IU...CONGRATS!

Nice job!

I have the IU-B full ride letter in my hands right now, and after talking with some IU folks- it appears to be contingent on merely passing classes. There is no bait-and-switch approach like many schools, just keeping your academic head above the water. What do you think about IU-B, Beth? Top choices at this point? cheers bitey

Haha, precisely. He also managed to make those career changes while dealing with infidelity, a corrupt father-in-law, an alcoholic wife, an adopted son who kept getting into fights and a briefly pot-addicted biological son. Oh, the drama. That's why he's my hero. Besides the obviously awesome eyebrows.

Good luck to you, too!

I, too, wish you the best of luck, numbers twin! Look at all that $$$!
