i was just accepted to St. Johns...and our numbers are identical.... did you receive your scholarship upon notification of acceptance, or did it come later on like some schools tend to do??
I was instructed by a contact in the Admissions Dept. to send a letter directly to Robert Harrison. I provided him with the offers that Hofstra and Touro had offered, and they responded by offering me 10k per year! Never settle for the first offer!
at St. John's! I just visisted the school this past week and loved it. Are you planning on living in the grad housing?

yeah, i will be attending come august...the $$$ made the difference....thanks to you and this website I pushed for that money good luck
I actually just sent my deposit in a few days ago so i'm just going to keep my fingers crossed that there are enough spaces still available...otherwise i'm not quite sure where i'd want to live. maybe midtown? or brooklyn? i don't know...
So i spoke with Erin VanDorn regarding the grad housing and I am #2 on the waitlist so i feel fairly confident that I will get a space! yay! =)
I have similar numbers to you, and it seems to me that with an LSAT over 160 and a GPA under 3.0, admission is almost impossible to predict. They like the LSAT, but they dislike the GPA, so I think the soft factors really come into play. There really is no such thing as a lock with these numbers, and most likely your soft factors will be critical. This can mean rejections from safeties, but also acceptances from reaches. I think as long as you do a good job on your applications and apply to a broad spectrum of schools you'll be fine. Best of luck!
