Acceptance email from Berkeley - wow, that was quick!

Scholarships are per year

01/26/07 Hold Email from Harvard saying something to the effect that I have an opportunity to strenthen my file
by submitting more materials. But I have nothing left to give. :-(

01/27/07 Big Penn package sent to my Permanent Address in Minnesota. Weird, because all my other correspondence except for a GULC Christmas card has been sent to my university address.

01/27/07 So I got waitlisted at my most realistic first choice school. I withdrew - I decided I can still be a valuable person if I don't go to CLS or HLS.

Congrats on the scholarship from the U of M! I am very, VERY envious. I can only hope for something similar. Good luck with the rest of your applications... I hope you get in to your top choice!

I keep waiting to see if Duke gives you money, which I'm sure they will. Did you by any chance apply for the JD/LLM joint program?

Phhhhht!

Come back when you hear from your 4 "pendings"...then we'll talk. P.S. I'll only be impressed if you get into Harvard.

Haha...you got "reserved" too. 1 down, 3 to go.

My waitlist from BC is a clear case of yield protection. They sent me a piddling letter asking me if I wanted to be placed on a "preferred" waitlist...obviously testing the waters to see if I'm really interested. If anything, they want me too much and are afraid that I may not want them enough. It's unfortunate that *you* can't say that about any of your schools.

If you take a look at GW's profile you'll see that those full tuition + housing offers extend pretty deep into the applicant pool. It's kinda sad how desperate they are. I feel sorry for anyone who thinks getting one of those things is a real achievement.

I'm proud of you for finding me. You were kind of easy to find cuz I know your screen name. Anyway, I really don't know who I'd choose between the U and the Y. The U hasn't said anything about money yet, which makes me think they won't, so the Y would probably be cheaper. But of course, I'm not in there yet.

Enjoy Chicago. When did you get the final decision from Harvard?
