Extra Curricular Information

Average internships, some decent leadership in EC, volunteer work, work-study, a few minor honors. Checkered past (which is part of the reason why I applied to so many schools).

LORs were not all in until 11.18.04. I had three, and they all came from profs with whom I've worked closely.

PS is pretty much a diversity essay and has little to do with why I want to go to law school. I gave schools that asked for a separate diversity essay a different PS and a modified version of my main PS. Oh and I had one or two typos on my PS, so if you've misspelled one word, relax, it probably won't hurt you much, if at all.

Additional info & updates

I'm living out of the country, so I haven't been receiving the acceptance phone calls which I know are standard for many schools.

Georgetown and UVA with thin, cream envelopes.

GW, Wash U, ND, Cornell, Penn, Columbia, and Chicago with emails. Columbia letter was in a large, olive toned envelope.

U of I and BC by email because informational ones reached me before the letters. U of I letter came in a large, white envelope.

BU by phone.

Michigan and W&L by roundabout ways since I wasn't at my mailing address to get the letters. Letter from Mich in a package; letter from W&L in a small envelope.

NYU, Minnesota, and USC in large envelopes.

In at ND (17.5k) Minnesota (22k), GW (10k), U of I (10k on top of in-state tuition), and UVA (10k) with money. I then got UChicago to offer 24k total, so it's Chicago for me!

NYU's letter was dated Dec. 1 but I did not receive it until Jan. Also, I did not apply EA there and I was surprised to receive an acceptance so early given that I do not think my numbers were anywhere near an auto-in.

I wrote the "Why Penn" essay which I'm guessing gave me a little boost there.

Duke WL letter came in a small, white envelope.
