**12-10-10** In at American! American is the first decision I've received! I really love their emphasis on public service.

**12-13-10** In at Northeastern!

**12-21-10** In at Maryland!

**12-26-10** Finally sent out my UNC application. I put a lot of time into the essays, which is why this application was sent out about a month later than all the others.

**12-28-10** I'm disappointed about GW wait listing me. They were one of the reaches I thought I had a good chance at and they were one of my top picks.

**01-10-11** Rejected by Georgetown. Never thought I'd get in there, so it's not a big deal.

**01-28-11** Very sad about the waitlist at UVA. However, I'm still very excited about them and plan to ride the waitlist for a while. UVA was one of my top picks.

**01-29-11** Applied for American's PIPS Scholarship. Hopefully they will be interested in my application.

**02-03-11** In at UNC! UNC was also a top choice so this will be very hard to decide! I'm thinking I'll be there this fall.

**02-04-11** Wait listed at Penn :(

**02-09-11**Placed on "reserve" at Cornell. Guess I shouldn't expect much since I was supposed to be denied according to LSP. Will be withdrawing. Only one more to hear from: Michigan.

**02-10-11**Invited to the Leadership Scholars Program Interview for Maryland. However, I will not be able to attend due to other obligations, so I will withdraw from the admit pool.

**02-21-11** Today I withdrew from Cornell's reserve list after thinking a lot about the decision. I also withdrew from Northeastern and Maryland. And, I sent LOCI to Virginia. I'll probably ride out that waitlist until I make a final decision.

**02-25-11**Waitlisted today at Michigan. I can't say I didn't fully see that one coming though. I will withdraw my application on Monday since I'm not that interested.

**03-11**Heard from American that I did not get the PIPS scholarship. I will now be withdrawing. Not getting the scholarship means I really can't afford to go to American, even though I love their public interest values.

**03-11**After doing some soul searching, I've realized I do not want to take out 200k to attend most of these schools, and that my heart is really in attending UNC because of their strong PI values and low tuition. I will be withdrawing from American, and GW because riding the WL at GW means taking out extravagant loans if I get accepted.

**05-02-11**UVA emailed me telling me I am released from the WL (no acceptance). Also, I have decided to withdraw from the Penn WL.

GO HEELS, this cycle is OVER. :-)
