Additional info & updates

I'm currently volunteering abroad with Peace Corps and am just 8 months away from completing my 2 year commitment. In terms of work experience after Undergrad i've got it, my weakest link is my LSAT score. The frustration is that I've participated in several LSAT prep classes & used books, on actually test day my score drops 11 points from my practice tests. I've applied to participate in CLEO Summer Institute (which will aid me tremendously).

June 2004 - Took LSAT for 1st time (with on & off studying)

June 2008 - Exactly 4 years later took LSAT for 2nd time score just 6/7 points higher (STUDIED several days per week)

July 2008 - Sent out letters to 4 potential recommenders

August 2008 - Sent out packets to my confirmed recommenders (packets included very detail resume', snippet of personal statement, reasons of why law school, & general update)

September 2008 - Completed personal statement (took 6 editors & 2 months)

November 2008 - Completed Applications to my 6 Law School Choices

December 2008 - Got 2 Letters of Declination Mississippi College & Wayne State U.

I'm on an extreme walk of faith and ready to see my dream become a reality. A dream in a makinf for more than 7 years and I won't allow one test to deter me. My ACT score was 18 and with God's GREAT favor I was admitted & attended a private Liberal Arts College with FULL TUITION. I know with GOD all is possible, and call me crazy but I've got 2 choices... FEAR or FAITH... So, I choose to have 100% FAITH.

What do you know about ICLEO? I have looked through various articles, and I found a fair amount of general information. I wanted to pick your brain about it. Good luck on this process.

I had the same situation. I took the lsat got a 137. Took 2 years off, worked went back studied 3 months got a 149. I just started sending out apps again, but I got rejected from all seven schools I applied to the first time around. I have faith it'll be different this time!

You should try applying to a lowered tiered laws school, Check out Thomas Cooley, Appalachian, Texas Southern and there are a lot of schools in Florida with less stringent admission requirements

Good Luck.
