Additional info & updates

It was a tough decision, due to the fact that CW took awhile to get back to me regarding my scholarship eligibility, ( I didn't think I was getting any $$ at first) but then I was finally awarded a scholly in the end and decided to choose CW. It's a better school all around than TJ, it is the oldest law school in SD, it has the highest Bar passage rate in San Diego, and it has a better reputation than Thomas Jefferson does.

My issues with TJ were as follows:

*Admissions was horrible. Almost everyone in the Admissions office is a TJ graduate (Umm hello? Why aren't they at least clerking somewhere? TJ has to compete for jobs w/CW and USD in an already deflated market) They were real disorganized. The Director of Admissions was late and kept me waiting 20 minutes for my first appointment/visit to the school--not a good way to treat a potential student there. Also, you can never reach anyone by phone which is really frustrating, I had tons of unanswered questions that took over a week to get answered because the Director of Admissions was out of town for the week--mind you he went out of town the week before their decision deadline.

*My first impression of the campus was less than stellar (granted this was the old campus, the new one is still under construction but will be really nice once it's completed) and some of the students that attend there look like Community College kids. The environment was not professional looking at all, and even sitting in on a class the level of interest from the students seemed sub par (most of them were on FB or surfing the web and just not paying attention to the material).

That being said, they did offer me a really nice scholarship and I was seriously considering going there if CW didn't offer me any $$.
