Additional info & updates

Current manager of tax team at major financial services firm.

Taking the October LSAT as my first and (hopefully) only.

10/19: Attended law school fair at local university. I highly recommend these as they gave out fee waivers like candy.

11/2: Got my LSAT Saturday morning. Rolling the dice and re-taking it in December. Any advice is appreciated, I've been through the bibles but not very thoroughly.

11/10: Decided against re-taking the LSAT in December. I figure I'll apply with what I got, and see what happens. I don't want to burn a re-take with only 5 weeks of study time. If I get rejected from my top choices, I'll re-take in June and go for Fall 2012.

12/14: Starting to get emails about completed and received applications. Still need to do Loyola.

1/12: Got an acceptance email from U of Richmond followed by an apology that it was sent in error! Haha, nice job guys. I know I'm a reach for all of these schools, but come on. Don't play with me like that.

1/19: GSU, Brooklyn, and SW are showing "in review" or "ready for review" with dates in the last week. At least that's some progress.

1/21: Southwestern status checker lists a mailing with no description and a date of 1/20 - my first rejection letter?

1/27: "In Review" update on status checker for Brooklyn.
No news otherwise.

2/4: Very eloquent rejection email from Brooklyn. To be expected and honestly, I'm starting to really think this whole cycle will be scrapped.

2/11: Univ of San Francisco: Decision Rendered. Waiting for the letter.

2/16: GSU denial via email. Totally unsurprised.
Still no letter from USF though...

2/17: USF rejection letter.

3/15: Waitlisted at Southwestern. I'm actually super surprised. If I wasn't going to retake the LSAT and apply for 2012, I'd fight like hell to get in.

3/25: Small envelope from U of R.

4/14: WTF is up with Mercer? No word yet.

4/26: I'm out, people. Mercer isn't going to send me a decision and I'm not about to live in Macon anyway, so it's 2012 cycle for me. See you in October '11, LSAT.

5/6: Rejection email from Mercer.

Tart - yes, I've been getting countless postcards! Ha, and the two apology emails. AND it said most decision won't be sent out until March. 4 months seems excessive to me. Thanks a best of luck to you, too.

Any idea when we should hear from Mercer?
