Additional info & updates

4/4 Deposited at Iowa.

Decided on Iowa since their full had no GPA or rank stipulation and came with a research position. I think I would have enjoyed any school I was accepted at. Turned away from Minnesota and for Iowa because I'm not a huge fan of the Twin Cities and the atmosphere was more laid back at Iowa and they have a superior law library.

I have post grad employment at an established boutique firm in a mid sized legal market out of state that will start me at a big law salary. Wasn't interested in taking out debt for the cache of Columbia, Chicago, or any of the T-14 since I didn't need to leverage these for starting jobs.

Ultimately I will be back in school in a decade or more anyway so I was extremely debt averse.

3/24
Offered Full at Iowa along with acceptance on 3/22

2/24

Offered full at DU and full at Minnesota (have reciprocity anyway so it was a cheap option)

2/18

Sent an app to DU on Tuesday midnight / Wednesday morning. Was impressed to see I received an acceptance via email on Friday. 2 day turn around, nice.

Would really like to end up in the midwest since my SO is apping to denver / iowa / minnesota for grad schools.

2/11

Updated a few of my acceptances at reach schools. Will post more as I get into them.

Rushed out my reach apps mid January and heard back quick. My TT apps were sent out late jan / early feb so hoping that won't affect my $.

Wanted to get into them for personal reasons, but will ultimately attend a non t-14 with $ than take on the debt. Already have a job lined up post graduation at a small firm for over 100k. Hence looking to maximize my ROI.

Really hoping I get money from CU. Would love to spend 3 years being able to ski over winter break and during the weekends before being a slave for the next 40 years of my life.

I was planning to see if they'd up the scholly; I guess I'll see what happens. I have NO idea what I'm going to end up doing. Any of the following could happen: $ at WUSTL, BU if I get $, Emory, staying in state, or heading to UW... Good luck with your cycle you've got some amazing options!

On taking that cash money at Iowa! Definitely a solid decision. I hope it goes well, and I am obviously jealous of your preset employment ;) I'll be back to CO to ride sometime next winter, maybe you will be too!
