Additional info & updates

7/18/06: Accepted at Yale as a transfer applicant. Transferred.

Accepted at Columbia via phone call from Nkonye Iwerebon on 8/12. Orientation starts 8/15. I'm insane, but I think I'm going.

Letter from Columbia dated 7/19: Re-re-reserved for some possible openings in August.

7/18 e-mail from Yale: dropping entire waitlist due to 90% yield rate. offer to reapply for class of 2009 or as a transfer applicant.

Changed my mind. Every lawyer/professor/judge I talk to says that Chicago is better than NYU for clerkships, which is what I want to do. So barring a miracle from Yale, Chicago it is.

June 18 - Columbia waitlists me for the second time, i won't hear from them until July.

Got a call from Ann Perry at U of Chicago, letting me in for the class of 2008. (5/25)

Yale waitlisted me, citing an increase in yield.

Withdrew from Georgetown, Penn

Yale - 4/16 e-mail: said my application is "extremely competitive" and I will either be accepted or waitlisted
NYU - large yellow envelope
Georgetown - small white envelope with handwritten note
Penn - E-mail (no "why penn" essay)
Harvard - small envelope
Chicago - strangest letter imaginable - accepted to the class of 2009, waitlisted for 2008. i suppose this qualifies as accepted/waitlisted. did anyone else get this?
Stanford - small envelope
Columbia - small envelope
