My PS was kinda strange. It was risky but honest. It's the only thing I can think of. I am a reapplicant but I dont suppose that should matter THAT much. Idk.
Jesus what was your PS about?? You had some bad luck here.
Ya, I'm thinking about posting my Personal Statement on TLS as a "How not to write a personal statement"
Did you at least get a second opinion on your PS? The PS is probably the only part of your application you have 'complete' control over and deserves the most attention.
Will you please post your PS/story on TLS? Your cycle is incredible (bad). I feel empathy for you, but it could/would serve as a good learning tool for others I think.
what exactly are bad softs?
2 citations Freshman year for drinking and a Wet/Reckless On the other hand, I was also a Resident Advisor. I think it mustve had more to do with my PS. I shouldve included my LOR from my volunteer stint. I suppose I will next cycle if this luck continues.
I'll post the PS after the cycle sans personal info
That you'll get into Berkeley!
Looks like I'm looking at a reapply. Im going to retake, reapply and take off a year to do something productive - get work exp. Good luck to everyone else with their cycle.
Did you decide whether or not to post your redacted PS as a warning to future applicants?
I would be very interested in reading your PS as well, and I agree with the others that it could prove helpful to future applicants. Please, since your cycle is over and said you wouldn't mind, post it to satisfy our curiosity and to help out. By the way, I am really sorry to see this happened to you!
With your stats, taking a year off and reapplying this fall will be a very good thing. Could you please post your PS?
It may be your personal statement then, your numbers are waaay too good man. I'd be in the top 5 with those, but last year, I did my personal statement and it was horrible. KILLED my application. Had no clue until this cycle when I rewrote it and I said, what the F*** was i thinking to myself. Best of luck and my prayers are with you
believe it or not you aimed too high. 3.5 and bad softs. GPA doesn't really matter but law schools can't have someone reckless drunk running around campus with his hair wet
What's going on here? Has to be a weak area in your application, right?
