for your reponse. I'm glad I retook the LSAT. I felt more comfortable the second time. And with your GPA, a few more LSAT points would make a big difference.
I also retook and am glad I did. If you really kick ass the second time around (8-10 pts higher), there are schools that will throw out your old score... Good luck.
Northwestern takes your higher score, and doesn't average. Since it's one of your top choices, it may be worth it to wait a year and re-take the test.
If you get in off the waitlist at Loyola or Stetson, you should consider going, working your butt off for a year and applying to transfer to another school. I've been reading about how, if you stand out enough in your 1L class, many law schools take dozens of transfer students every year despite lower LSAT scores. This is your chance to prove you're more than the one high-stakes test, plus, the school doesn't have to risk lowering their LSAT average for the rankings because you're a transfer student. Look into it. It might be a better option, depending on how confident you are that you could raise your score significantly...
I imagine it wou;d help to be a full time student, but I'm really not sure. You should call some schools you'd like to attend and inquire...
Although I did get into a couple of schools, none of them are in areas where I wanted to go and they were all "fee waiver" schools that I really didn't have any interest in. My LSAT is worse than yours (I saw your response to sarah's post), but your GPA is higher than mine, too. I applied to several of the same schools you did. I'm sure my rejection letter from Loyola is in the mail as well, but I just haven't received yet. I guess they keep very few people on their waitlist anyway and the few they were going to admit, they contacted already. I'm pretty much thinking I'll re-take the LSAT and re-apply next year as well. What are you doing these days? Send me an e-mail if you like.
LSAT score, if you please.
